Idaho Student Murders: Inside the killings of 4 University of Idaho students

On Nov. 13, 2022, four University of Idaho students were found stabbed to death in an off-campus apartment. Six weeks later, police arrested the suspected killer Bryan Kohberger. Now the families of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin are trying to heal.

This made the news around the world. Nobody sends their kids away to university, only for them to be brutally murdered. My heart goes out to the families who lost such wonderful children. The Police were constantly criticised after the murders, accused of being incompetent. Meanwhile, they steadily worked to find the killer and charge him. Great work.

Let's hope they have the right guy. There are way more questions than answers, and it can be easily explained why BK was in the area so often and why his phone was turned off. Known dealers lived in the building in first of where he parked, then drove off at 4:24am. He was once addicted to H. Quite often, young adults relapse & fall back into their old ways.

This case has affected me more than any other case ive seen over the last few years. You can see how terribly it affected law enforcement for them to get so visibly emotional when they caught kohberger. I can only begin to imagine the horror they saw at the ctime scene. 4 beautiful kids lives were lost, kids with their whole lives ahead of them. Such a tragedy. I pray for justice for the victims and their families. We should all be united in our support for them. ❤xana❤ethan ❤maddie ❤kaylee ❤

I honestly don't think it matters what way you lose a child, the loss of a child is soul destroying. The nature of a murder is absolutely shocking, but so is something such as a drowning or a fire which is an 'accident' or your child suffering an agonising battle with cancer which is an 'illness'. I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child, it takes my breath away when I hear or read stories that involve precious children. My heart goes out to families who experience such loss, and I pray they find peace

This is so sad. I'm now in my 47y old but really early I understand why when I started the age of going out with friends my father and our neighbours would always take us and pick us up and it's something I do with my son. I don't care if I will only going to sleep a few hours. It's so sad that when our kids live our house we can no longer protect them. My heart is with this parents that did everything for their kids, though they were safe and because of a Psicopath they loose everything 😢

Primal fear can make you freeze up and hide for your life, afraid to make even the slightest sound until you're sure you are safe. If you heard sobbing in the middle of the night and saw a stranger with an army knife in your home you'd probably hide as well. How long do you think it would take you to convince yourself he's not in the house and it's safe to make a noise if you're hiding somewhere dark and you don't even know what time it is?. I couldn't imagine how horrible it would be to find my friends like that and have complete strangers accuse me of being part of it.

I was staying in my friends dorm at wsu and we went to Moscow 10 min away because they have the only 24/7 fast food restaurant which is a McDonald’s. This case is so traumatizing for me and everyone else in Washington state and other WSU alumni. It sounds dramatic but Pullman/Moscow will never be the same after this. This area is in butt fuck no where. The drive from seattle to pullman is just corn fields for hundreds of miles and extremely isolated. The biggest crimes that happen are car break ins but even then they’re few and far between.

I don't think the killer left the house that night. And I don't think the surviving roommates are guilty of anything either, except for inventing this intruder that was clad in black with bushy eyebrows. And there's a reason I believe that they told that to the police too, in effort to save their friends reputations and faces in the fallout of what I believe actually went down that night. And it's a hard pill to swallow admittedly but it's not out of the realm of possibilities. With everything that's been said and reported from what Bethany saw, and from statements that Steve G made, I think I put it all together and it explains why DM was so comfortable to just go back to sleep after yelling shut the f up at what was happening. She only heard familiar voices and I think the next morning it was her and HJ that fabricated this story of an intruder, and that's the only thing they are guilty of. I don't believe for a second that DM or BF or HJ hurt anybody, or were a part of a plot. I think that they are just trying to do what they think would be best for like I said saving their friends faces and reputations.

Forgiveness is a gift. We can't change the past nor bring them back, but we can concentrate on all the wonderful memories the families & friends shared. They were & always will be loved. But grief is hard & takes time! I'm old & with every tragic young death I've experienced, grief was a different process. There is no proper way to express grief as it's a natural emotion. I occasionally have emotional waves over those who died 57yrs ago. That's OK! We never forget them!

Its so sad for the families to have had 4 beautiful lives taken in such a horrific way. R.I.P to all those beautiful lives taken.

Seems like some of these reporters missed the boat on the investigation. The police played this one perfectly. They sat back and acted lost as they knew exactly who they wanted and didn't want to tip him off based on his degree. They let him believe they didn't have any leads as they tracked his every movement waiting for him to give them more evidence. This was great police work even though it didn't seem it from the outside, but that was their plan the whole time. Great work to all the law enforcement involved.
