Thank you for sharing! Everything looks great! I have Colitis and Diverticulitis! I can't eat hardly anything! I can't tolerate any pork, red meat (which pork is red meat) I can't eat any tomatoes, red sauces or spicy foods! I can't eat ANYTHING with seeds (Including, strawberries, raspberries & blackberries) Melons are really encouraging with these Gastrointestinal diseases. Veggies I can tolerate are carrots, green beans, Asparagus, potatoes (no peeling) sweet potatoes (no peeling) squash (Make sure it's deseeded) Sautéd in olive oil, baked, steamed or grilled! Beets are also really good for your digestive system along with other organs! No processed meats like deli cold cuts, hot dogs, or anything that's not fresh meats from the butcher. A Rotisserie chicken us ALWAYS excepted! Any kind of seafood. Long as it's not fried! Tuna, salmon and fresh fish is always "tummy friendly" No yolk egg noodles, pastas, rinsed and cooked rice, a vegetable W/chicken or seafood is a really great meal! STAY away from salads AND CORN! I take either a grilled or baked piece of chicken (boneless skinless thighs or breast or left Rotisserie) chop it up W/a few fresh chives & dill relish, mashed up half avocado and add a little mayo. You can add fresh dill as well. Since I cannot tolerate bread most days, I use a small or large I use a whole small or half of a large crossaint roll. I make a fantastic smoothie I found the recipe for awhile back and it consists of 1) banana 1/2) of a avocado 1/4 C of oats 2) vanilla Activia Yogurts 2) Activia Yogurt "shots" drinks (Which is loaded with Probiotics) 1) Mott's Applesauce 1 C) of frozen blueberries 1/4 C) Keiffer 1/2 C) of ice Blend it all together and it should be enough for 2 servings for the day! I drink mine either for lunch or breakfast and the other serving along with my dinner. Drink plenty of water and Powerade/Gatorade.

@Sakura House I'm using Lifeway Kefir. I tried the vegan one and my tummy did not tolerate it very well. I have found out that Pita bread and (no carb) Tortillas are a great replacement for the bread issue. Another thing I've learned to do is try to eat small meals through the day or several healthy snacks. Just remember to try to keep a food journal and everyone is different. What works for me may not work for you or vice-versa. Good luck in your quest for a healthier Digestion.

I've been researching Chrohn's diets, and I've determined that dairy should be avoided all together. It's not so much a case of lactose intollerance, but instead it's an allergy to milk protein. I can digest milk and milk products, but the protein in milk, still causes inflammation in the gut...

@@mickchicchats You're lucky not to miss dairy...I'd much rather give up gluten...which I did, but it doesn't bother me much. I miss dairy products a lot - it's only been about 3 weeks. lol There are foods that I can't even eat unless I have some milk to go with it - like cookies! What's the point of eating a cookie without milk? Also, talk to your doctor about eating fiber...high fiber is actually good for people with Crohn's disease...the fiber helps to protect the gut from the very mechanism's that cause the disease in the first place. I have been eating a lot of both soluble and insoluble fiber over the last few weeks, and I have already seen a huge improvement - I have a very mild form of Crohn's but it's bad enough to know that I need to do something about it - to keep it from getting worse...

Crohns dude here. I’ve found that whole raw milk and a specific brand from Whole Foods (can’t think of the name; orange top and label) does not irritate my gut at all no matter what quantity I drink. My crohns is quite severe and this was a saving grace for me. I believe this is due to the absent (in raw) and minimal (orange top brand) pasteurization in them. Raw and minimally pasteurized milk still retains cultures and enzymes that help digest the milk unlike pasteurized and ultra pasteurized milk which gives your stomach that task, which it cannot accomplish leading to inflammation and liquid stool, and thus we come to a perceived “lactose intolerance”

I have Crohn's too and often struggle with what to eat that's healthy! Everyone seems to be different but for me i mainly use bananas, thoroughly peeled mashed potatoes, and applesauce as my fruit and vegetables. Kombucha seems to be helping me. I can't seem to have oatmeal or berries or anything with peels, skins, seeds, pulp, or nuts but I'm gradually trying things...it's hard to get yourself to branch out when it makes you feel sick if you get something that makes your symptoms worse! If anyone has a smoothie recipe for Crohn's or has had any success with green juices, I'd love to know. ❤️

My nutritional experience of almost a decade with crohns disease: I love peanut butter very much, but the tricky thing is it contains alot of omega 6, which is pro-inflamatory. Fruits in general (but same, I eat soft fruits only), including bananas, which is fluffy, are better eating raw, since the heat destroyes the fruit's nutrients, prebiotic and probiotic compounds. I love cheese, especially mozzarella and gauda (my 1st place), but again, I avoid, since all lactates contains proinflamatory compounds (milk is the worse, brought me severe pain and nausea when my crohn kicked in, and butter is litterally pure can**r), which are not friendly to our guts. Fish, better high quality ocean fish like cod and salmon, than tuna. I love tuna, but I avoid it. Peppers, tomatoes, eggplant and potatoes (nightshades) are also a fuel to our inflamation, but I am consuming a certain amount of potatoes, for weight gain and mentainance, since I workout daily.

With regards to red meat I’ve come to find that as long as the cooked product isn’t greasy (helps if the meat is of good quality) my gut does not have an issue with it. Tacos, burgers, gyros, and the like are where my stomach draws the line. Something else I’ve been trying is a raw diet consisting of bison and beef steaks. After the initial disgust and inherent gag reflex it really went over well and at the end of my week trial I actually started to crave it. My disease did not flare and my stool was solid at last. It isn’t for everyone but I feel like it worked for me. Just don’t eat ground beef

That potato bread probably also has wheat in it - and therefore gluten - and that's a no-no for Crohn's....and you need to add a lot more black pepper to that tuna fish...Tuna fish sandwiches are excellent...I used to make them the same way, but then I would add a slice of REAL Swiss cheese to the sandwich...no more cheese for me now though - I blame it all on processed foods - they add emulsifiers and artificial sweeteners to products that don't even need them!

@@mickchicchats It is very difficult indeed. Since I can't drink milk anymore, I've been looking for some kind of alternative - including to have something to add to my coffee. I found this great tasting Almond/Coconut milk and it was all natural...the bottle even stated that there was no caragennan (however it's spelled)...Carragenan (wrong spelling again), is an emulsifier and therefore bad for people with Crohn's. But the last ingredient was "Sunflower Lecithin." This too is an emulsifier...emulsifiers (and artificial sweeteners) increase the permeability of the gut - for E Coli bacteria...at least it does in people with Crohn's... I found rice crackers that I really like (they taste better than wheat crackers anyway)...but for some reason the manufacturer added MaltoDextrin - an artificial sweetener that people with IBD shouldn't eat...again, because it helps E Coli bacteria pass through the lining of the gut...which is probably the cause of all IBD's...the root cause of the inflammation that results in the damage... There was no reason to add Maltodextrin to rice crackers! They're not supposed to be sweet... Food companies are making foods that people with allergies and different forms of IBD (like Crohn's) are supposed to be able to eat, but then they "sneak in" some harmful ingredient... I don't know why they do this...
