Icon 32oz Hard Face Dead Blow Hammer Review

These icon hammers are nearly the same price as more premium domestically made units, it is pretty nice and ball peen hard face dead blow hammers are relatively uncommon and useful and this one is made pretty well. the biggest issue is the weight rating is for the loose dead blow material not the head weight, where this hammers head is heavier then the 48oz icon dead blow because of the extra steel of the hard faces.

The main reason for buying this is the no hassle lifetime warranty… which craftsman built their company on… I don’t know why your saying the price is comparable to tool trucks which it is absolutely not…. You can get a full set of these hammers for the price of one tool truck hammer..

We actually use Harbor Freight dead blow hammer for beating on feed bins. They are not UV resistant but the ones we have have took years of abuse.

The warranty and quality are the main reasons I purchase a few Icon tools. The 24-ounce model finally arrived, and its great.

Bad-mouthing Harbor Freight seems popular with certain "fan boys", but, in my 18 years of HF shopping, I've never had a problem. I'm a retired pro!

If your going to go overseas get Amazon or ebay special. I have been beating the daylights out of one for 3 or 4 years and it was 18.00. The ball peen hammers hold up pretty well compared to soft face clones can be total garbage

The reason the prices are cheaper on the website is because the site often auto applies current coupons on your tools when you view the item. - former HF employee

I loved the old dirty leather apron - glad you went back to it. I have a set of Trusty Cook deadblows, and was pretty surprised to see the pricing on the Icon given where the TC stuff is. The Soft-Face/Steel Face Dead Blow (Model TC45SC) is easily my most-used hammer. All that said, the Icon stuff looks really nice. At the price, it would be a coupon-only buy for me. Also, I'm not sure what your beef with Taiwan is - lots of high-quality stuff comes from there, and they're a democracy we protect with a lot of American military lives. Once we leave the shores of the US, I'm not giving any edge to anyone on COO when it comes to Germany/UK whatever vs. Taiwan. Lastly, I think the stuff about receipts required is largely internet myth - there are plenty of guys who have a beef with HF who wander around spreading BS about the products and policies.

People pull the broken tools out of their dumpster, easily remove the indelible ink and trade it in for a new tool at a different store. That's why you need to keep your receipt, there are some low down nogoodniks out there. Thanks for the video

Well if they did that at one Harbor Freight. Then drove to another one and spent all that gas money....to get there. ...its still a loss of time and money. Some folks in this world is not so smart. Hey Catus on your way home pick up a gallon of milk for the kids. Looking California and feeling Minnesota. Sound Garden "Outshine" Im tired and i want to get home from work. My local store is on my way home. Not in 50 miles the other way.😆👍✌🤣😂🤦‍♂️ 🏴‍☠️ life for me.

What Over price junk. If i bought a 32z Plumb bob made of brass. And paid 1dollar an ounce in 1994 to 5 And they call that 50 bucks at harbor Freight and it came from Taiwan. I would find a cheaper dead blow. Somewhere else. The ball peen hammer is still cheaper at an automotive store. Sorry my friend. 50 dollars can buy me a better tool then that at Harbor Freight.
