Tekton now has some made in USA dead blow hammers. They look very similar to the Trusty Cook hammers. They may even be made by them but I have no idea. I'm going to need a review of them man! Lol

We use the model one daily at wrk and it's a great hammer. I wish the handles were made differently tho. These hammers take a huge beating, we hardly ever need to replace them.

Folks may also want to take a look at Nupla hammers. US made, very durable, and reasonably priced. They offer a big variety of dead blows. This being said, Halder dead blows from Germany are the best I've used. Not cheap, but so worth the money. Yes, I own a lot of hammers.

I can always count on you to show me what the best tool to get when I’m lookin to buy. I don’t know squat about dead blow hammers. I just need to knock some stubborn car wheels off. Trusty Cook model 4 seems like it’s right for me. SMASH SMASH SMASH!

I like my NuplaFlex dead blow. It gives me the option of either a metal or synthetic striking surface. It also has a very strong fiberglass shaft.

I was a harbor freight the other day and shook one of these hammers a one pounder to be exact and it sounded different than the one in this video.sounded more like sand inside the hammer 🔨 so I guess harbor freight improved these since the video.

There good hammers but o prefer the Vaughan dead blows with changeable faces they have a better grip and more defined force blow ie less bounce back
@wallyg3338 жыл бұрын
all the tests you have done could have been done exactly the same if not better with a rubber mallet, you should of tested how it bounces and stuff like that because that is why a dead blow is used

The plastic plug bent up because you hit it squint not because it was a metal hammer. Dead blow hammers are for occasions where you want a solid transfer of power without marring the piece. Where you don't need the solid force transfer you should use a plastic/rubber/copper mallet.
