Here is a video from day 36 of Rob's Iceman build. Today the guitar body (front side only) was restored to the original wood surface. That was then block sanded, cleaned, and grain filled. Once the filler dried, that was sanded and cleaned.
Primer was next. So after masking off the sides and back of the guitar body, I sprayed out the 1st of three coats of lite grey primer. This was then sanded, but some places were sanded through. So after spraying another coat of lite grey primer, I switched it to a darker grey primer for the next coat. I did this as a guide to know if I have sanded through a coat. So keeping the surface as the dark grey primer, I will attempt to smooth out this coat without seeing any of the lite color showing through. Well, that is my theory anyway.
Up next .. some sanding and, with some luck, black paint will also get sprayed.
