Iceman build - Day 44

Музыка

Here is a video from day 44 of Rob's Iceman build. I proceeded to install the Grover tuners, but the paint had made the peg hole too small. I used a tapered reamer to clear the holes out. Then after drilling the mounting screw holes with an old school "push-drill." On the 5th hole, the drill bit snapped!! (Of course, it did haha) I was able to remove the broken bit and go with my next larger size. After all of that, the guitar gods allowed me to install the tuners with the face washers and bushings. The only thing left on the neck is to oil the fretboard and polish the frets.
I then moved on to the body shielding. I used some copper shielding tape in the pickup cavities, and then that was covered with shielding paint. I then flipped over the body and used the shielding paint on the controls and toggle-switch cavities.
I was going to start the wiring, but I have been working on this thing for so long that it seems I have misplaced the selector toggle and face plate. I have new ones on order and should be here in the next day or two. Once those are here, it should be making some noise pretty damn soon!! Up next .. the soldering !!
Stay tuned ... more to come!!!
