Well, here it is, the final video of Rob's Iceman build!! This was more than one day and actually took place over a six-day stretch, filled with trial and error. This one was regarding the guitar wiring. The video does not show it took four toggle switches to finally get one to fit. I also ripped down the controls three times and rewired them with new components every time. Three different schematics and what appeared to be three different failures.
Rob and I met and had his favorite tech take a look at the guitar. After one solder joint, it was making noise!! He then did a great job on the final setup, too! Then, after nearly a year, it finally made glorious guitar noises!!
This has been quite a journey indeed. I want to thank the guys down at the Tukwila Guitar Center (Shane, Austin & Zack), the customer support at Seymour Duncan, Switchcraft, Stewmac & Ed Roth Flake. And to all of the other luthiers and painters I have bugged over the last year, thank you for all of your help!!
