Yes I know what it's like to be held up against your will due to health bud. Only so much stuff you can watch and occupy your mind with from the couch. Don't rush it bud - you'll be back up and "goin that way" in no time 👍

all i can say is JUST AWESOME. 👍🏻

Awesome, would be nice to do it again and bring a bunch of hides, moose, bear whatever. Keeps the puppies feet warm and the can stay the night with blankets or hides on top.

Yes sir!! I’m not quite checked out on that yet although I do want one. We had one growing up. It had cement walls, was built first and the side of a grade, then buried in.

Hi Chuck , another great video , was drooling over that Bannock with butter and honey That little kerosene stove looks so neat, the smell of kerosene always takes me back to my childhood days like you were saying we spent many a night around the kerosene lamp growing up in Gaultois on the south coast where we lost the power often growing up, I'm going to have to send you one of my Mmm mmm mmm clips LOL. First off, condolences to Mel (and all of you) on the loss of her Uncle Randy. He left too early, so he must've been a good man. (only the good die young) Such a simple idea to put a sleeping bag inside another sleeping bag and yet I've never thought of it🙄. I guess I'm just not simple enough😉🤪😂. Thanx for the idea. I will definitely be stealing that one. - - - OMG, that supper looked delicious! - - - Mmmmmm, that bannock looked so good! Have you ever thought about sprinkling some cinnamon on top of that honey? For a quick snack I'll toast some sour dough bread; spread butter & honey on it and sprinkle cinnamon over it for the finishing touch. Mmmmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmmmmm! Soooo good! - - - Thanx for sharin'!

thanks for sharing. 15 years ago we got a deep snow in MD. I'm from eastern Upstate NY, near Mass Vermont border and we used to get a lot of snow when i was a kid back in the mid to late 60s. after it quit snowing, i had the kids roll up a bunch of large snowballs and i made an Igloo for them. you could just stand in it. The kids had never seen anything like it and still talk about it to this day. thanks again.

Absolutely no odour at all. I had a fair bit of ventilation but regardless, it was odourless

I tried making Bannock, It was too dense for me. Next time I might try the brown sugar to sweeten it up.

We had a crew in over Christmas and someone specifically asked for the “grace” trick. Definitely a crowd pleaser. (It was my mothers request to teach her that trick-my mother never eats without saying grace)

You put a plastic piece on the inside for a window, if you put another one on the outside you would have double insulated windows.

Hey Chuck! One thing good about camping in your own yard, if you figure out you forgot something you just have to walk the 40ft to the house. Lol. That bannock, wonder if you can put a smidge of cinnamon and raisins in it to dress it up even more . More sometimes is gooder you know. Have a good time in the sand.

I have had cinnamon but not a lover of raisins actually....smarties, yes lol. PS. I would never give in and head into the cabin even though it is a tempting factor whenever you sleep outside somewhere

Now all I want is some moose meat. A pot of moose stew would hit all the spots. 😉

If you find a 2" - 4" deep rectangular pan the same size as the griddle on your kerosene stove, you would have an oven.
