The International Criminal Court is seeking arrest warrants for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity over the October 7 attacks on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza, the court’s chief prosecutor Karim Khan told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour in an exclusive interview on Monday.

I’m not excusing Israel’s actions but what Hamas did was a declaration of war. They were not engaged in a conflict at the time. I do believe Israel had a right to retaliate but the methods they have used has been extremely cruel. This is my thought but it’s only a speculation on my part.

Yes, but we don't arrest criminals, we arrest alleged criminals. The allegation that Israel is committing crimes is not absurd, but where is the evidence that Israeli leaders are targeting civilians? Every time they hit a civilian, they take out terrorists with the same shot. So. if you live in Gaza and you don't want to die, don't hang out with terrorists - though that might be hard since so many of the civilians there are and support terrorists and terrorism.

Justice? Israel doesn't recognize the ICC nor does Russia, the US and China to name a few. The ICC has no authority over non member states, and if the Hague was foolish enough to actually manage to get Netanyahu arrested and put him in jail in the Hague, the Israeli government would view this as an act of war( just like the US said in 2019) and break him out with their military. The Hague has no defense against this. This is merely a hollow threat by a paper tiger.

You're right. But you also have to remember that Hamas has been attacking Israel and vowed the destruction of that country for decades. Also, Hamas has been holding Israelis as hostages without charge. Both sides have acted in breach of international law and have committed war crimes. The leaders of both the Israeli government and the Hamas government in Gaza need to be brought to justice. They are not only ruining the lives of those they oppose, but also the people of their own countries. A plague on both their houses.
