Ibis Ripmo Review - 2019 Bible of Bike Tests
The Ripmo embodies the term “hover bike.” It floated up rough climbs, indifferent to pedal input. Likewise, it swallowed our chunky descents while still maintaining more pop than a long-travel 29er should. That once niche category is officially ready for the masses.

Having ridden this bike numerous times, (and basically every other bike in the category) I feel like the Ripmo is just about the best "do everything" 29er of 2018. Well done Ibis!
This is the bike I prefer to travel with! Such an unlimited bike!!!
That is the most glowing review I have ever seen from you guys. Just brought mine home today, and can't wait to shred in the morning!
OK...after your review and the Rip winning Bike of the Year in Enduro Magazine, I will be on a 2 year waiting list! Thanks Roxy and Ibis for making such a Fab bike!!!
I just bought this bike, full factory, XT and Ibis carbon wheels and it has SO exceeded my expectations. Climbs like a hardtail standing or sitting, you pedal and it surges forward. Looking forward to many more rides.
This is why you have to demo bikes.. A Yeti freak here and I assumed the SB130 would be the quicker, better handling bike however this Ripmo took the cake.. This is a bad ass do everything bike!
I ride a small 29er, would love to try this one. Would fit so well on our trails in Wales in the United Kingdom. Great review.
Finally! The Ripmo review. This bike is on my wishlist for sure.
Possibly the best 1 bike to own, if 1 bike is your jam!!! Wow great job with the reviews!
Well done Ibis ... they make amazing bikes!
The review makes me smile ear to ear - satisfaction of owning and building the Ripmo on my own.
Nice to see my choice validated. Great bike.
Awesome review guys!
Hey, LOVE this series! What a great resource. When are you going to ride a POLE MACHINE or STAMINA...or EVOLINK?
The purchase of my Ripmo has completely been the BEST experience ever.
Love mine very much. Only thing I would change on it is the thompson stem with the 3mm bolts as they are prone to strip and I'm putting 203's on the brakes in the spring. Very happy how this bike feels.
How does Ripmo compare with Instinct BC Addition? Which one would be better bike for Northeast rocky terrain?
How's the DPX2 shock compared to the X2? I demo'd one today with the X2. The bike felt great. Is it worth the upgrade?
Stoked to build a Ripmo up soon. What trails are these? Looks like AZ maybe. Do they say in the mag?
Hi, which do you think is the best trail bike , the ripmo or the yeti sb130?
