Wow even a young interviewer recognises Ian Wright played in the last great era of football. Towards the end Ian Wright came to Forest for a short spell and even scored on his debut. He was a massive star and was having banter with a bloke sat in front of me making the crowd laugh like an old mate. I remeber thinking wow the instant relationship he has with football fans was as if he'd played at the City Ground for years.

I cant stand football because of the racism and sexism but I will say that Ian Wright's era was watchable, it had more personality? I cant imagine the level of blatant racism white supremacy being hurled at players at games in the 80s and 90s... and then theyd have to deal with covert racism from management/press and the entire system. Football still has a long way to go.
