Great interview! Thank you Sidney Pigden for having the patience, class and humanity to mould the Ian Wright we know and love.

Ian Wright had a troubled childhood but he made something of his life and achieved incredible things. He is to be applauded because Ian has remained humble and grounded. I true footballing hero to so many. Well done Ian.

Ian Wright was such a brilliant striker for The Gunners and Palace but it's not until you watch these documentaries about "him" that you realise what an absolute gem of a bloke he turned into. He never forgot where he came from but he manages to bring gladness into other peoples lives with his infectious personality and his kind heart. My stepfather was a total w***er and I'd love to have had someone like Wrighty as my stepdad. Top bloke.

Never been a gooner always loved Ian Wright and his attitude. Massive massive respect for Wrighty.

I have no love for football whatsoever but that was great. An interesting and intelligent chat. Why aren't mainstream chat shows like this anymore ? Its all SO dumbed down.

I listen to Off The Ball a lot and I find Joe Molloy an amzingly good interviewer ! Keep up the great work Joe !

Use to watch Steve Penney at the Goldstone when he played for BHAFC. Fantastic winger, so skillful, bit like Liam Brady. Needed just an inch to get a cross in. Was very fragile though and ended up a bit of a sick note.

I remember watching Steve Penny playing for Brighton in the 80's. He was talented. Crying shame they didn't sign Wrighty at the same time

He's talking about the Transport club.

First view. His fave band is U2. I heard in an interview once.

Wrighty is a bit sound.

Wrighty has a lot of dear dear friends. He's like some dodgy character out of one of those American soaps from the 80's, Dallas or Dynasty or something. Can imagine him wearing an all white satin suit and a cowboy hat as he slides a briefcase across a table and says "Don't worry about the bill passing (dramatic pause) the state senator is a dear dear friend of mine" muwhahahaahahah.....dun dun dun.

The sound quality on Ian Wright's microphone is awful. So much noise.

Great interviewer. The Americans need to learn from him. Know when to stfu
