hahaha Ben, this sounds like the reason I got rid of my Tesla. Planning trips to super chargers. I am very happy with my Rebel. Adding mods to make it look mean like the TRX but still getting better MPG. [EDIT] Seeing the rest of the video really makes me happy I did not go for the TRX. Parking garages is always a concern. As for parking, I can't park for crap with my truck. Wife always makes fun of me for it.

I ordered a loaded TRX coming in about a month, I also own a 2020 Jeep Rubicon Desiel, I will say that the TRX is not usually a sole vehicle you would own.

I parked my Ram 1500 next to a TRX yesterday and it made it look like a little Toyota Tacoma. 😂

@@terrynichol577 I owned a 2009 Ram for 11 years and never had any problems with it so I decided to buy a new one. 4 of my buddies have 2019 and 2020 Rams and are happy with no issues at all. Enjoy your little Toyota and like i said, i will never buy that plastic crap. Don’t bother responding because I’m no longer gonna read these messages, waste of time.

I’ve a TRX on order and am selling my 2018 2-DR JLR Jeep to make room in my garage for the beast. Your video is timely since I have the same thoughts. Keep the 2-Door for daily, easy in, easy out, commuting and the TRX for long haul trips with occasional off road adventures.

What kind of mileage did you THINK you were going to get?!?! Just curious.

Another reason the trx is better for city and pavement driving , u would need a bunch of jerry cans in box to feel like you will get home . Imagine 250mile range .... you get to trails drive 30 minutes and turn around....i need gas lol

Mid 200s when full, then drive one errand, since I have ocd I would feel like I've got to fill up again!!! My first Gen Raptor I believe 36 gallon tank is 400 plus or minus and for me that's hard enough to deal with.

Quick question. Is the only reason it doesn't fit in a parking garage just because of your bar and lights? Will it fit without ?

Bottom line, you bought a truck you don’t need or have any real use for. This was a nice to have not a need to have. It happens but it’s time to let it go. HP at 700+ and the weight of that truck = sh*T mpg. No shock there. Lesson here, the thrill of ownership goes away quickly when you really think about it’s everyday practically.

To add to that note I feel there is buyer remorse, and more importantly it's the kind of a truck that is considered a specialty truck especially for people who buy it. This is the type of truck that serves a purpose the built quality serves a purpose, you're spending 💰 90 to 100k for quality and performance that means you get your money's worth and no it won't break on you like some of this crap out here today. When you go from a focus to a TRX, that said everything. The only way you're going to enjoy that truck is if you use it as a specialty truck and use your Ford focus as your daily driver.

TRX is T-Rex on the road Focus is just a purple car on the road

Thankfully my family owns a gas station this is my last concern when buying a TRX or any pickup LOL

I guess the ram TRX was the same as the ram runner from 8 years ago. Both the ram runner and TRX get bad MPG, they are not daily driving vehicles, and they were specifically built for off-roading. I mean it was pretty obvious that the TRX wasn’t for daily driving no one can’t afford paying 70$ or more to refill the tank in a daily basis.

I wish RAM wouldn’t have made it so wide. I too share you thoughts. I want and can afford a TRX but don’t want to deal with it being 8” wider than my 2020 1500 Limited.

It's wide because stability. They built a Baja truck with 702hp. Off-road performance was their goal, not city driving. Don't buy it if off-road is not your priority.

Especially considering that’s where most will spend there time. With that being said, I’ll be trading my current Ram for an X5M. That way it compliments my X7 and M5 nicely. 😏

Ben I really enjoy your videos...having said that let me say this: reviewers always tells consumers to do research before spending money on an item. Some of the points you mentioned would've been evident prior to purchasing such as gas mileage, the attention it would get with that color wrap, etc. I also think the comparison between gas mileage of a TRX and a Focus would be night and day. I'm considering buying a truck and a friend told me don't buy one if gas mileage is an issue. Just my two cents...keep up the good work.

I get Ben's point about fuel range vs. mileage. I had a '99 Acura Integra GS-R that only had a 13-gal. tank. If I drove above 4000 RPM (where the VTEC kicked in), I could see the fuel gauge move.

Hey great video, I just got TRX 2 months ago and love it. Just landed in Salt Lake City for judo tournament today at the Olympic Oval

Another great vid Ben! Kinda trivial but did you notice the 12 from Cottonwood that was highly impressed with your mad driving skills during the conversation? TRX a great road trip vehicle in addition to off-roading. Just need to drag along a little fuel tanker for support. Ben use it for pulling a boat or toy hauler that you will eventually collect.

Does it have reclining back seats like a limited?

you could stick it in a container and ship it to Australia as is that would be great 😁👍

I mean, you could get a C8 Corvette and have all of the street performance you'll ever need - and still be able to fit everywhere comfortably... Or even just get a smaller full-size truck and supercharge it. I'd be kinda scared to drive a TRX, personally, because of it's size. It's still an awesome truck, obviously - but a T-Rex belongs in the open plains (lol!).

That fuel range is terrible! I have the Ford F-150 Platinum with the 36 gallon fuel tank. I’m able to go 700 miles on one tank. Well 690 to be exact, but whose counting.😄

The last concert you should have when driving a hellcat powered pick up truck is gas mileage

Thankfully my Ram Rebel gets decent fuel economy on the highway if I don't drive it aggressively. I think I will typically get around 18 MPG for long highway trips. If I'm driving it around the city though my fuel economy is terrible lol I think it averages around 10 MPG.

Bro, you always need 2 vehicles minimum. Your daily and your weekender. I have a hybrid camry and a lifted tundra on 35s. My mountain bike literally costs more than I paid for my camry, why not just pick up a used small pos car that gets great mileage and keep the TRX?

It sounds like you just should have never bought a truck in general. I love my TRX. Fuel economy doesn't matter. You don't buy a Trex for MPGs 33 gallon tank helps.

Damn damn damn. I love the way it looks. Now it’s two things I hate about it. The bed looks short which means no motorcycles going back there without the tail getting dropped. The fuel economy is the icing on the cake. But man it’s a beautiful looking truck!! Most definitely love the interior. Chevy needs to take notes when it comes to interior design.

Dude i see this truck everyday on the way to school!

So he’s not driving it because of reasons he already knew before buying it. Also, as a wide body raptor owner, it’s not actually any wider than a normal truck. The side mirrors are still the widest part which is stock from the regular f150. Same for Ram and Ram TRX

A purple focus is definitely more you 👍

Obviously, you need a prius, let someone who will enjoy it, get the TRX. Might want to better research your next vehicle purchase, so you don't hate everything that makes it great

Mileage wise the trx is the new hummer

I get around 11.5 litres per 100km to 9.5 which is around 20.4mpg to 24.7 mpg. In my cummins just saying 🤷‍♂️

Is driving a truck right for you? You don’t daily drive a truck like that, for every reason you mentioned , MPG, parking, moving it around in tight spaces. you need a commuter car for your every day. Your gas MPG complaint is legit, if you are limited to 250 miles per tank of gas you seriously can’t go anywhere without constantly topping off, or you have to carry a lot of extra gas with you. That alone would disqualify that truck for me.

Let’s face it , it’s a big toy truck to play once awhile, not a daily grind back and forth vehicle. Another note in Canada as of this week the federal government announced that vehicles over $100 thousand dollars is considered luxury and will get a luxury item tax on top of the 120 thousand dollars price plus licence,and tax. In the end that new TRX will cost you out the door about $140 thousand dollars give or take a few thousand dollars on what province you buy it from 🇨🇦😖😖😖🥶🥶🥶🥶
