Appreciate the honesty and real world review. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted. Took delivery of a ‘22 Limited a few weeks ago and love this current gen Ram. Every brand will make lemons that’s why you have warranty and lemon laws.

Great video! Really interesting and fun to watch! Ordered mine a few weeks ago and might finally be taking delivery in 3 weeks. With the 6.2 it’s considered a new vehicle so it takes a lot longer here in Europe to get your documents, but our equivalent of your EPA finally approved it, so hoping I’ll be able to take delivery at the end of this month. And I know vehicles in general are more expensive over here... but dang. They made the TRXes like twice as expensive over here! They know people buy them anyways. Am excited for it tho, pretty sure I’m gonna love it!!!

you should tune it to e85. It saved me a lot of money. i was paying like 4.20 bucks a gallon for 93 and now I'm on E85 and I'm paying 2.30 a gallon. it only costs like 900 dollars

I have a 22 orange package level 2 bought used had a few issues at first only because The original owner didn't take care of it but nothing but love for this actually was looking for this particular package for a year . Also I average 11.5 mpg

I feel like the base model was a well Kept secret by Ram. Has everything you want on a “budget”.

The fuel economy can be "ok" if you drive it normally. I'm seeing 10 to 11 city and 14 to 15 on the highway averaging 70mph (adding a tonneau helps).

Awesome video man! I'm probably going to be trading my Gladiator in for a TRX sometime soon, and it's nice to hear from a daily driver (not just a reviewer). Thankfully, I work from home full time, so the MPGs won't hit me too badly. :) Question for you - Have you heard of Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions? They make dash mounting systems for trucks to hold phones, GoPros, radios, etc. I thought that might make filming in the cab easier for you if that's something you do frequently. I have them in my Gladiator, and they're fantastic.

That’s awesome! You’re gonna love the TRX. I love the gladiator as well though. Had a 2020 JT & just replaced it was a 2023 JT I love the bulletproof mount! I actually had one in the gladiator as well lol.

Got mine on March, as of today 5300 miles, 2 oil changes, one tire rotation, gear transmission cable replaced, 1 radio replacement because the Uconnect and the steering wheel weren't communicate each other, other that that no problems :(

The one thing that is nice about our varieties of different interest in life about our beloved trucks, and please believe me, I definitely respect our differences in various points of interest, first off we all need to understand the most important detail, the beauty that hold on our trucks, it is physical beauty with our trucks, but it's really mainly mental and emotional beauty, otherwise we would never own it or attempt to own it, there's a lot of different opinions out there and everyone has their own opinions and view points, as far as I am concerned, Chevy, ford, and ram ,there all 3 American built, and there all beautiful trucks, everyone is against this or that, and that's their personal right, are you gonna own something you don't like, not if you can keep from it, we only buy what we need or what we like, it just depends on the lifestyle of our money, or if can come across some lottery money, that helps too, we all have our own preferences and that's the way it is, there all 3 beautiful trucks, everyone has their own opinion,

I bought mine for MSRP is Feb of 21 and sold it in April of 22 for $41k more than I paid for it. People are nuts.

The break in period only affects using launch control. The things a total beast though

Great video. TRX does have poor fuel economy. Roughly 7 MPG is pretty shabby. The Rebel 1500 Diesel is quite good for a truck at 20 MPG. The power on the TRX is amazing and it is very comfortable. Andy at Huntington Beach Jeep had some last week for sale but I believe they sold out.

Bro do a touch less car wash 🧼 next time so ur paint won’t get massed up

I’ll be trading in my 19 raptor for a 22 this winter once it’s built. I’m not worried about gas because although this will be my “daily” I also have a transit connect for my painting business. Raptor only has 11k miles in 2.7 years.

10.8 thats my 2020 rebel average after i upgrade to 35" 20x9.5 with the rebel i was 14.3 rebel oem wheels and tires and now im getting 10.2-11.7 on the trx

I love mine 2021 trx im on a road trip right Toronto to Vancouver and back. Cost me 1400 in fuel one way which isn't horrible 4400kms

If you go into snow mode on highway you can get 30 mpg

Going to look at one on Monday, trade in my 2018 Tungsten 3500 6.4 (430 HP) and my 2011 C63 AMG (490 HP). The T-Rex combines both of these vehicles into one and the T-Rex will be cheaper to own/Operate.

@@devonb6400 I use it exclusively for work purposes - Inspections on construction of pipeline & facilities projects. As long as your company makes enough to pay for the purchase, insurance and registration, you should have no problem.

I put the flush center caps on my same methods definitely a game changer

I've fallen into calling the truck a car a lot of times too just because of how it feels when you drive it. It doesn't seem like what it is it performs kind of like a car and smooth like one but yet it isn't. But yeah I have found myself calling it a car many times

Difference is Rebel doesn't cost $100 to drive 50 miles. My buddy got a TRX and it waste fuel he can't afford to drive it anywhere.

Only go to a car wash that uses water pressure. Otherwise, It will scratch your paint.

I do have plans on running a flex fuel set up in my truck (e85). But Im not rushing to do it since companies are still developing TRX parts and I'm waiting to see what everyone is bringing to the table before I purchase.

I'd love a TRX close to 11mpg isn't bad at all for being close to a 7k heavy pickup. I daily my 99 single cab sport with 5.9 magnum that things gets 10 to 11 mpg 😆 not so different from going to my old 99 245hp to a new TRX that makes 702hp. But now I also daily my 04 1500 hemisport that one does get roughly 14 to 17 depending on driving habits. It took about 113 to fill my tank with gas prices being 4.55 a gallon on 89 octane I could imagine the TRX using 92 octane and being close to 180 or 200 to fill

Yea exactly for what it is the mpg isn’t terrible and is what’s to be expected for the caliber of truck the TRX is. Right now it’s about $160-$170 per fill up using 93 down here in South FL

No monthly payment and it’s a base model so it’s neither group 1 or 2. Msrp was $72,000 and I paid msrp.

Yea I’m very lucky to get it at the price I did. I have a good relationship with my dealer so they helped me out. I was a day 1 order back in August 2020 and I received the truck in February.

$150.00+ to fill up once a week X 4 = $600.00+ a month. Monthly payment is probably $900.00 to 1,200+ depending on what you put down. Plus insurance costs. Guys probably paying $1,500 to almost 2k a month to operate that thing.

I don’t have a monthly payment. Fuel + insurance ($190 /month) are my only expenses. But yea, it’s not cheap to own / operate if you throw the monthly note into the mix.

Its roughly 33 gallons so that's like 125 liters I believe.

I’d just use it for pleasure .like a weekend truck. I have a vw that gets 30+ mpg as my daily commuter

No. 91 is the minimum octane for any hellcat equipped vehicle. Anything less will retard the timing.

I'm in Southern Ontario Canada (1 hr from Detroit) I hear the Raptor is coming out with a GT 500 5.2 supercharged Raptor called the R. I'm gonna wait n see, also our gas for 87 is over $5/gallon usd.. 93 octane is like $7 😧 I'm torn between the TRX and Raptor R(if it has the V8)

Not everyone who uses a work truck needs towing capability. My dedicated work vehicle is a Promaster City and before that was my Rebel. Only “large” tool I use daily is a ladder. I’m a GC and I’d say 90% of my material is delivered to the site and if it’s something I need to haul the TRX or Gladiator could handle it.
