Always be a buddy to a IT guy.
Offered my job back? Yeah they can kick rocks. Two years full salary, a public apology and the CEO must PERSONALLY call and write to every single company with whom I interviewed explaining the truth of the situation or I'll see you in court.
Arbitration is not for criminal acts what she did is file a false criminal report. That does not go through arbitration. That means you get your ass thrown in jail and you get sued.

Remember everyone "BELIEVE ALL WOMEN" because they never lie and they'll never take advantage of the "me too" furor to benefit themselves or indulge their petty misandry..... they're essentially angels being hunted by us awful men. poor victimized women😢

your the misandry, there have been hundreds of false accusations against men who have done nothing wrong for the pettiest of reasons. All the women is such disputes get no repercussions, and the men have their lives ruined. Often times with no evidence. It's almost always guilty until proven innocent in these cases, and this behavior spits in the face of actual victims. It's all to common for men to be accused with no evidence, and often times they are given the guilty verdict without evidence.

Statistically speaking he is right, most grope cases tent to be either poorly investigateted or out right false allegations, as the CDC and fbi reluctantly disclose in 2023

“Zero tolerance policy”? You cannot do that based on hearsay
I wouldn't accept that job back, they'll be looking for any opportunity to fire you.
Remember folks. YOU CAN ALWAYS SUE THE TORT FEASOR! (In this case the person who actually made the original defamatory claim.) Sue her and the rest of the company will be investigated. Then sue the OTHER tort feasor who spread it to the job OP applied for.
Never tell them until you get the evidence through a friend or subpoena
Arbitration doesn't include damaging reputation. I'd tell the boss you best brush up on your resume because once my attorney is done, the company owner is going to be pissed.

It does sound like the own and CEO where not old until the lawsuit hit
Proven intentional false accusations, not misplaced accusations, but knowingly malicious false ones, need to carry the maximum sentencing of the crime accused.
Sue them to absolute hell and back!
Lesson learned, always sue.
Arbitration agreements end when your contact does. The instant they fired him, it would have been null, even if he'd signed it
He should have gotten an attorney as soon as the video surveillance came into play. He should have let the attorney talk to HR.
Sorry, entirely unrelated to the actual story, but I hate watching people completely ruin houses with the white and gray theme, bland, and ugly.😂

Not even close to enough.
I remember the story and I was shocked that op didn’t reach out to the soon to be ex husband of his accuser and help him in his divorce with her.
I never would have accepted the job to work there again. After everything that happened? Sure it was HR who was the cause of all this, but no one dared question them nor handled it professionally. I would have sued for back pay, a year of salary, and a public apology.

Why was it only an internal investigation and not police
Bro. Must have loved his job. Cause that sound like a million dollar case.
I wouldn't return to that company...I'd just take that money and go look for a job elsewhere....and I'd learn that company a terrible review.
This is why I cannot get behind the term "believe all women"
@greenaum

You should never believe anybody without some decent evidence. Being female isn't an exception to that. Women are actually able to lie, the more you learn.
I would still sue
No arbitration agreement protects a company from criminal conduct on the part of the company
I would honestly be extremely tempted to continue with the suit. The fuckers need a lesson and the OP has the cards.
See, this is why "zero tolerance" policies are always fucking stupid.
First of all, this man was incredibly lucky. No one should ever take a person into private in a corporation unless there is a recording of it and everyone is made aware of it. Second of all, the HR manager completely failed his or her job and should also have been fired.
I would not have gone back there and took them for all I could.
The balls on this company that to say that OP waived the right to sue them, realized he hadn't and then send him papers to actually do that while he is getting legal council.
I will sue
The thing is: The " arbritration clause" was null and void the moment they let go the employee without an earing.
It doesn't really feel very adequate that they accused him of rape and spread it around town with the false allegation that he was being criminally charged with it. Like that shit ends people's life in some situations. They should totally be made pay for it.
Click the link, it will describe the whole encounter. It does involve him getting his job back. The woman being fired. Defamation cases against another woman. The accussing woman attempted to have evidence destroyed.
I would’ve sued for everything and the kitchen sink. This is an easy win at court. He would never have to work again. But hey, you do you man.
What the hell was Joyce’s beef with OP that she basically that as soon as she found a way to ruin his life she took it
go to court take their money

Would of gone sue the company for wrongful termination and sue that woman for defamation
The most important thing I don't think was said is did he take that deal?
I don’t know if I’d want my job back tbh if that was me I’d move on
Honestly that settlement is shit for what the guys higher ups of that company did

That's at-will employment for ya...
This is clearly rage bait. Like like too much of us doesn’t make sense.
Sir you made one mistake you should have never went in there with her alone you should have taken another female who you trusted who would be honest with you
I just want to point out that everyone that did something horribly wrong in this story was a woman

That being said, cameras or not the guy was a bonehead for having that meeting where nobody else could see. If you are in a workplace environment and are forced to deal with a member of the opposite sex then you either bring a camera to record it, or go to a place where you know their is working surveillance and make them fully aware that they are being recorded.
Bro just go get a mini body cam and a recorder so this never happens again
Old story, changed by channel owner at the end, plenty of stuff missing.
What is the killer here,is that if a guy made the false accusation he wouldn't be taken seriously. Folks need to stop assuming first, its like the saying goes,Innocent before guilty.
