Between you and Josh Jones at Podium Archery, I've gotten the courage to get some of these invaluable tools to start working on my own bow instead of driving an hour to my local shop. Keep up the good work, and thank you for breaking a lot of this down for the rest of us!

Duuuuuuuuude, I've had my standard-width VersaCradle for 10 years now!! I love mine, which is why I bought a second one with the wide limbs. It self-tightens just enough to hold the bow in place, but still allow you to make minute adjustments to level the bow.

I’ve been running my hip into one of these in my shop for about a year now, it works awesome. I mounted mine hanging off the bench so you can tilt it down so the string is horizontal and parallel to the front of the bench (with a stabilizer on)

I fix the rest cable on the rest and pass the other end through the cable and then again pass 2 cm higher in the opposite direction. The advantage of this is the ability to quickly adjust the length of the rope without a tool, which is very convenient when setting up the bow.

You can bolt the bow vise under the table so the bow is lower and it's away from table so you can leave the stabilizers on when working on it like the way you did.....that's how I have mine set up

Auto tighten is not just a cool feature, it is a SAFETY feature, and very important at that because imagine if you forgot to tighten the bow and let go of the handle, your bow might just hit the table or something and you might end up needing a new cam!

When you are marking the knock point on the string, are you marking the center of the arrow? I see it as you are marking the side of the square against the rest and transferring that edge to the string. Then you center the knock/arrow on that line. Does that not make the knock point lower? Or should it be lower anyways?

It looked like he had the center of the arrow on the silver mark and he ties the d loop around it. I think it makes the knock point level because if it is too high or low your arrow will have a bad trajectory. I recently watched a seek one video and lee’s d loop moved up which made him shoot low on a buck.

The bow square was setup to just contact the rest. Then u marked the string where it lines up but shouldn’t that line represent the button of the arrow shaft? I anticipated u putting the bottom of the nock in line with the silver marker line. Instead u put the mark in the center of the nock. Isn’t the arrow technically pointing upward slightly then?

Your setting your arrow wrong with your sharpie mark ,the way your doing it it will be nock low .because that mark you used on the bow square is the the bottom line of the arrow, and the nocks usually have a tapper to them ,and you centered your nock with your sharpie mark, which will be nock low . You can correct it buy lowering the rest ,but that will take you out of center of burger hole.
