I’ve been asked by a few people now ‘how fast is the LM62 Plus Four?’. So to answer this I headed out one sunny October afternoon for a quick run down the lanes and a short blast on an A road. Recording errors of the joyous exhaust note don’t detract from the fun and pleasure of driving a Morgan on the CX platform. Quoting @Pirelli Power is nothing without control, and this car now has both. A little tweaking possibly required in the suspension to get this completely on point, yet this doesn’t take away the miles of smiles with the current set up. If all I wanted was quick I'd go electric. Jay Leno was once asked why he liked some of his cars that are not so fast, his answer, "Once you have satisfied your appetite you develop taste". The Morgans have always been about taste. Thanks for the video. It is all we have while we wait for the PlusFours here in North America.

The journey is what it is all about . If you want fast and the feeling of "FAST" try a Caterham 7( any variation ).

You’re absolutely right. A caterham is a different experience altogether, both on the road and on track. I think the question about speed was more about the Morgan having some ‘spirit’ about it. Not just relying on looks.
Julian ditch the hardtop and enjoy the fresh air.

You should test drive mine, the last ladder frame +4 ever to be registered in the UK. I’ve never driven a new plus-four, I bet there’s some real pros and cons between both🤷.

So, you got your car back. How was Morgan dealing with the problem you had with this car?

I’m in a bit of a quandary with Morgan at the moment. The car is back with them again. I’m hoping they are going to apply some of the new components from the ‘plus’ just launched…. These appear to be the fixes that should have been done in the first place.

Just the CX platform cars. All being sorted though. The new ‘plus’ going into production Jan23 has all issues resolved.
No traction control! I think it's time we stopped giving Morgan a free pass on essentials for a modern road car such as this. When they've started charging BMW prices then surely they ought to have at the very least, basic BMW technology!

They’re on it, the 2023 model has airbags and traction control. ABS was already on the range. As for the price….. it’s pushing the boundaries of acceptability!
A Detroit dinosaur wouldn't fit in that road .
