I turn a Stainless Bolt into a Combination Lock
In this video i'm turning a stainless steel bolt into a nice little combination lock.
I was always fascinated by those antique combination locks. I really like the design of them. A few weeks ago I bought one from eBay, but it turned out to be a cheap fake copy. I was really disapointed. Well if I can't buy one, then I make one myself. It was quite a challenge to get all the parts done and fit together, but the end result speaks for itself. I'm very happy how it turned out and I'm glad I made it.
I hope you like my work and the video.

@@AveragePicker LockLab (BosnianBill) in particular tests opening combination locks. I think LPL has some.
That awkward moment when you realize thieves are more interested in stealing your padlock than whatever is locked behind it.

@@helidude3502 Imagine how good LPL would be if he shut up and just put subtitles like MM. I think he wins cases in his day job by making opposing counsel settle just to get out of the conference room and be relieved from that infernal drone. I love his work tho.

That is awesome. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them.
This is pure magic for me, I've no idea how it works even after he put all the pieces together. Still, 14 minutes and a half of calming magic!

Each of the wheels have a slot for the notched rod to go through. It can only go through when all the slots on the wheels are lined up. Since the numbering was put on each wheel with a different offset in relation to the slot, each wheel has a different number showing when it's in the correct position.

You cut the slot at the corresponding number of the combination so they line up with the pins when you dial in the combination.
But now all 738 000 subscribers know the number combination of your lock 🔒. Oh I nearly forgot, you will make a new one 😉
