Вместо саморезов могут использоваться болты. Снаружи заварены и зачищены, а гайка изнутри. Да и саморезы можно просто сваркой капнуть и зачистить и не открутишь ничего.

@Димас Я, все гораздо проще. Крутишь первую гайку, находишь отверстие, двигаешь шпингалет. Затем крутишь вторую, продвигаешь шпингалет дальше Третью - тем же способом. Открыть такой замок - минутное дело. И без каких-либо инструментов.

@@Vladimir62K даже шпингалет двигать не надо - зона для гаек имеет зазоры, гайки там не плотно сидят, с боку если смотреть, то пазы в них будет видно. Ему надо было штыри в шпингалете делать с обратной стороны, чтоб они были в дверь направлены, а не к открывающему. 😏

Да его и открыть можно за 10 секунд. Для этого достаточно вслепую вращать гайки по очереди и по одному шагу продвигать засов.

@@user-ve6ef4qx4j крутишь первую гайку и одновременно давишь шпингалет вправо. Один оборот, "клац!" и шпингалет проскочил правее - первая гайка преодолена. Крутишь вторую гайку и снова постоянно давишь шпингалет вправо... И т.д. В том то и просчет конструкции,что её можно преодолевать пошагово, а не набрав сразу нужную комбинацию, чтобы открыть.

Super pomysł i wykonanie, ale ... obyś zawsze pamiętał szyfr! Miałem zamek szyfrowy do wejścia do mieszkania. Kiedyś wróciłem po zakrapianej imprezie i ... nie pamiętałem szyfru. Dopiero jak się wyspałem siedząc pod drzwiami, rano szyfr mi się przypomniał 🤣

Шикарная идея! Осмелюсь предложить доработку - повернуть ригель с упорами на 180 градусов, чтобы не было видно упоров и ручку ригеля на сквозь и заварить! Отличное исполнение!

Чтобы его открыть понадобится не более 18 попыток. Видно или нет упоры, мало смысла столько возиться с созданием замка, который можно открыть за 36 секунд просто используя логику

Я тоже заметила этот дефект и уже давно , достаточно прижать ручку к болту а болт вращать и все упор сам найдет отверстие 5 сек. нужно на вскрытие!!!!! этот замок с самым низким уровнем защиты и интересно что в интернете много вшивых блогеров с таким замком те хвастаются что создали нечто , а на деле ничто , идиоты!!!!!! @@magnifico11

Не показал момент как сделал фаску внутри гайки. Иначе как шпинголет в закрытом состоянии, а гайки крутятся.

You could've made another feature by making the piston a few inches longer & then drilled a hole in it where you could place another padlock on that. This way not only is there more security, but if you've given the combination to someone you can still retain access control by still locking someone out.

If it were to be used in a more secure location I would agree. This is obviously just a gate latch and NOT A HIGH security lock. So really it’s not that big of a deal, you could pick the lock faster than getting a screwdriver!!

It only has ⅔ of a regular 3 digit lock but I don't think it's genuinely intended for security. If anything, its for nothing more than stopping infants opening a back gate, least for a short while 😅😅

Best concept I've seen thumbs up! The only down side is the screw area needs more thought as its too easy to screw the lock off and avoid your combination. However great work and finishing.

A lot of the comments people talking about do this do that it’s not secure enough? It’s a simple gate latch!! A third grader could pick it in minuets. It’s a beet idea to lock a gate with slightly more security than just a latch. It’s a step up from the standard Amish latch. Good video I enjoyed it!

Super cool but since the square tube is bigger than the bar stock, I'd hide the pins at 12 o'clock as it sits on the door so you can't see how it works. If someone gets to see it unlocked with the pins visible it makes it way easy to figure out if you pull or push the bolt and turn the nuts one at a time in order either way you have the combo. Still a neat project.

Amazing! I know this could be easily hacked to open , but it would be a good temporary lock if I was gonna be away from the shed to go pick up parts or something.

The round shaft must be longer. Practically its avoided screwing near wood edges(compromising door-lock strength) so that wood doesn't cracks up on regular use.

Hey I didn't see how you cut the slot or what you did to make the rod with the three small rods cut off slide threw the drilled out nuts? Can you tell me were in the video and explain it to me. I think this would make make a fun lock on certain things.

@@magvat Al you have to do is move the fist nut till the pin go in then move the next one till the pin goes into it then the final nut. Shouldn't take more then a couple minutes to figure out

Totally agree, what a quality lock, only thing I would change is the screws he used to fit the lock, I'd use rounded bolts, my shed got robbed I had a really good lock on it they just unscrewed the hinges 🙄

May be it is good against children... the lock can be opened by revolbing every ring one after the other, The screws are exposed to be opened without the code.

@@d00der41 you’d have to take it apart to stamp new numbers as he did it. Prior to this sand each side of each nut by at least 0.5mm. Hardly convenient or a two minute job.

It's easy to crack even without removing screws, just tension it and turn first nut until it goes in 1 step, and repeat. You can even guess password by trying 1 nut at a time, so you only have 24 tries max

Great video but the rock music in the background was a bit distracting. Some of us love just hearing machine noises without the extra unnecessary music.

Amazing litle project. People are totally missing the point of this kind of lock. He doesnt want to protect hes jewels with this one. Its for woodshed or something like that and its really cool and simple desing.

На случай если забыл код,всегда держи в кармане фигурную отвертку. Хотя русские её берут даже на курорт,мало ли,вдруг в номерах гостиниц светильники прикручены или мыльницы красивые.

It's a good bolt lock...but all to defeat it is a good drill and a large Phillips bit because the mounting screws are exposed...you would need special head screws or weld plates over the exposed screws.

Very clever idea. Lock would be a breeze to pick though

Yeah but... all it takes is to press the bolt against the first nut and twist the nut until you find the groove. The bolt will slide right in. Then repeat for the next two nuts and that's it.

Depends on the tolerance. Wheel 2 might bind first or wheel 3, so still easy. If the tolerance is high this makes things harder. I'd still decode this in seconds with a shim tool either way.

just get a padlock instead of all that trouble for a 3 digit combo lock that only needs about 20 mins to unlock going from 000 to 999 . hahahaha

Do jeito que foi feito não funciona O sulco nas porcas permitem que as travas entem nelas quando estão alinhadas, porém como girar pra sair dos. Sulcos??? Do jeito que foi feito só dá pra traba funcionar com o trinco aberto alinhando as fissuras para a passagem do tarugo mas não tem como girar as porcas com as travas dentro. Pra isso é necessário um sulco de mês profundidade e espessura au longo da porca na parte interna da porca pra que ela possa girar com o pino dentro. Do contrário do jeito que foi feito só tem como trava os pinos com o trinco aberto e não fechado Isso de acordo com o que o vídeo mostra

If you made nuts rotate around an inner ring that rotates with them when the lock is locked. But when you pull the lock back. Pin the inside rings with the bolt. Allowing only the outside rings to move when it's unlocked. You'd have the same lock, but you can change the combinations while it's unlocked. Like a suitcase lock. Also put the screws under the bolt, "while locked" so you can reach them when it's unlocked. And sink them in, with the bolt as flush as you can get it, so there is no access when it is locked.

Alot of people can think ahead of a problem to come to a solution just by looking at something and any practicality minded person can see this lock can be picked within 10 seconds by applying pressure on the latch and turning the combination nuts until the peg fits in the slot

Так он там гайки рассверлил немного в начале и фиксаторы попадают как раз в это место и гайки крутятся

Походу что в гайках он в начале видео края резьбы сверлил, вот там штыри эти и остаются. Между гаек. А не внутри гайки

Excellent work, but it will take maximum 24 trials (average 12 trials) to decode; as opposed to max 8x8x8=512 trials (average 256).

You can open this lock with a srewdriver. Quit 4 screws and open easy. XD. But the idea is great, just improve the security about that 4 screws

What you done here is amazing but the lock plate needs to be bigger to take coach bolts 🔩 because all you have to do is take the screws out. Or ball bearings to weld or hammer in the top's of the screws for security. But like I said amazing job though 👏
