I Tried The 7-Minute Workout For A Month - Here's What Happened

Спорт

The 7-minute workout is a science-backed circuit routine that uses only body weight. The high-intensity interval-training program was designed by two exercise scientists, Chris Jordan and Bret Klika, to be the most efficient workout. Our video producer, Kevin Reilly, spent 30 days using the 7-minute workout as his exercise.

the 7-min workout is meant for people who are too busy to exercise. It gives you the mentality "it's just 7 mins so why not do it?" it's also a way to break the habit for people who are having a hard time incorporating exercise in their routine.

riso horvath Really? This is targeting ppl who cant even do 5 pushups in a row..... This is equivalent to the average person who doesnt workout but tries to do 100 pushups a day. It improves posture, and makes your core more stable and strong. Its useless for 90% of us did u not consider the overly obese?

PartiZAn18 Well if the time account for your phone is during work or in conjunction of doing something else such as your on your phone while cooking your kids dinner. Wouldnt make much time. 6am wake up, take your kids to school. Work 9-5 6pm cook your kids dinner 7 to 8pm, one can hit thr gym or is "on their phone" for an hour or two until 10pm before they past out to.go.back to worknin the morning. This doesnt cover overtime, or working a 2nd shift etc. Im not making excuses, im single, no kids so i literally have no excuse.

If you're working out to lose weight. Don't check the normal scale because muscle weighs more than fat. I have a scale that measures my fat percentage, water percentage, add pulse. I've been going down on my fat percentage (I'm getting skinnier) but my weight has been going up. I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm trying to gain fat and muscle because I'm underweight. P.s. For some reason the scale also tells the weather.

It take 6 to 8 weeks to see true changes in your body from the day you start exercising It doesnt happen overnight nor in a month. You can get an effective intense workout in 4-8 minutes thus HIIT or tabata (which is 20 sec going all in with all you got with a exercise like push up or dead lifts, then 10 sec rest, repeat for 8 rounds. )you will amaze at how 7 min workout will make you sore for days, if done correctly. Just today, i did 50 100lbs dead lifts then 75 each of 50lbs kettle rows, 65lbs land mine thruster, 50lbs kettle bell dead lifts to end with 2 min planks.all done in 15-20 min. Yesterday 100 each of squats, push up, sit ups, and leg lifts

This is the reality of a 7 minute workout for 30 days. It makes you feel good. You trim a couple of pounds. And it sharpens your brain. Best part is the addiction you get from doing it. Which means it's the PERFECT first step to getting active. 🙌💚

  • @Agent_Blizzard

Only 30 days?! KEEP GOING!! You're replacing fat with muscle so it makes sense the scale didn't move much. That tux pic was smokin' hot and I am jumping on here to comment (which I rarely do) to encourage you to keep it up. I didn't see results from my HIIT workouts for MONTHS. And now after over six months I'm seeing the muscle form and it's incredible. I look good and feel even better. This video was great and I appreciate your honesty. I'm here to nudge you to keep it up!

  • @notArealPerson04

    @notArealPerson04

@@thomasespas3990 when you gain muscle your body burns more fat to help maintain that muscle so technically the muscles eat the fat. Also your metabolism increases and you are able to eat more because muscle cells need more energy than fat cells and in order to get that energy you have to eat.

BEST HIIT I'VE DONE WITH DEFINITE RESULTS! I did no other exercises and cut back but still ate what I wanted and dropped 16 pounds...I'd say in a couple of months but I only did the workout 3 sometimes 4 days a week--no more. I love it cause I have back issues and a great way to get results!!! Glad the HIIT helps you too. I follow a guy on you tube and his video counts for me (including the resting 10 minutes)!!!

Paperism ok but the way working out works is that you have to workout AND eat good to where you’re getting all your vegetables and proteins in, you can’t just pick or choose, you have to do both to get the best results. If I’m a. Pudgy guy and I workout every day for 5 months yet barely see any difference in my body, it’s because you’re not eating right. Working you core for 5 months is bound to get your abs showing a little bit but they won’t show if your body fat is covering them. Think of it like this, protein and vegetable help *build up * muscle. Working out gains muscle and makes you lose weight if you’re not eating how you’re supposed to. However *if* you are eating how you’re supposed to then you won’t lose that much weight(unless you’re fat)and instead of having 170lb of fat and muscle on your body, now you have 170lb of almost pure muscle on you. You’re burning the fat and *building up the muscle in its place* causing your body to start to look tone and ripped

Love it! 🤩 I just got done working out every day for a week myself! Can highly recommend trying a challenge like this! I experienced it as a really powerful mental exercise to see how much we can actually push through our physical pain, and crush our own limiting beliefs! 😁 I used to believe I couldn't run on the same day as I did leg day in the gym, well I was wrong 😊🙏

Don't be discouraged to do lunges when you have bad knees. Most people do them wrong and I think I saw you make the same mistakes. It's very important that the knee that is going out or "doing the lunge" ends up bending at a 90 degree angle. Most people don't take a long enough stride and end up putting pressure on the knee because it's not supported properly.

Dude, just keep doing what you are doing, coupled with consuming the right solids and liquids, and workout with light to medium weights. Do not forget your cardio; walking, swimming, jogging/running, biking, rope jumping, and etc. Also, get your proper rest/nap and sleep, along staying positive. By the way, your video is a honest and good. PS: Stay away from sugar, bread, alcohol, friedfood fast-food, junk food, sodas, juices, bad carbs and etc., Namasté.

I agree with most of your points. I don't have a great chair for the step-ups, so I had to improvise. I did these for more than 30 days and just found them to not be as challenging anymore. I also run. I did find that I could do more on my runs and other activities when I was doing this routine a few days a week. Again, after a while, it gets old. Adding extra circuits is okay, but still not enough.

I think you missed the point there... It’s not just about doing an exercise for 30 seconds then rest for 10... In these 30 seconds you need to go almost as fast as you can while maintaining proper form (about 80% of your max is what normally advised), and then you get results. At least in this video it seems as though you took your time in each exercise, or maybe you didn’t but it didn’t seem as intense as this workout is supposed to be.. I’m not just trashing, and I sure don’t mean to offend.. I’m simply talking out of my own experience, to help others that maybe watching this and think it doesn’t worth it.. IT DOES WORTH IT. I did it too for about a year on and off, and after only three weeks my muscles were so much more toned that I started to get compliments from people who didn’t even know I was exercising (so you know it’s not just to be nice...). Also, I was in the best shape of my life cardiovascular wise. I remember one time when I needed to run to catch the train and I was so surprised by how easy it suddenly was.. I ran for about 10 minutes straight quite effortlessly - without running at all as part of my workout routine - the only workout I did back then was the 7 minutes workout.. BTW- this workout is especially good for those who want just to be more toned and be in a good cardiovascular shape - it’s not for building muscle mass.. Bottom line - try it for yourself, and don’t forget the crucial point that is to GO ALMOST ALL-IN in every exercise (about 80% of your max), and trust me you’ll see, and feel the difference as soon as a few weeks.

if you're just sweating a little bit and just breathing hard that means you're not doing HIIT correctly. In HIIT after each round you should feel like you're dying. Idk about the video he followed but the basics of HIIT is achieving maximal heart rate (or above) with little rest in between rounds

At last, someone we can relate to. He was in good shape to begin with though. Pretty decent how he did those push ups, lounges and carried on. At the end 'I take it'. Haha. Who wouldn't want to fit into something we dream to fit into for a while? Oh my GOSH that"s great improvement. Losing cms is just as important, not to mention the mental impact. Proven again, the body responds to CONSISTENCY more than anything. Excellent work. He seems like someone you don't want to mess around with... Straigh forward, honest, neat, simple and smart. Well done! Xxx

Even doctors were surprised . I try to do it once a weak . Absolutely recommended . If you are doing review of exercise it's better to mix in some blood tests results .
