Benar Daud, walaupun ini Indonesia dan banyak makanan halal tapi disini juga banyak orang-orang Chinese, Hindu (bali) dan sepertinya kamu salah tempat, tempat yang kamu datangi itu adalah kawasan para pedagang-pedagang china (tionghoa), mereka memang biasanya lebih banyak menjual makanan babi n minuman NON HALAL. Dan di Indonesia juga banyak restoran-restoran Chinese, Korea, Jepang atau restoran-restoran asing yang tidak memiliki sertifikat halal, untuk itu sangat penting untuk bertanya terlebih dahulu apakah makanan itu halal atau tidak dan tetap harus selalu HATI-HATI.

Kalau di Bandung sudah jelas kok ada plang didepan kalau restorannya no pork no lard, seandainya restorannya pake konsep restoran ala jepang & china

I am glad you have a good friend who respects your religion and didn't try to trick you into eating pork. Hey bro Daud by the way i'm from bandung (Wilujeng Sumping/Welcome in Sundanese) so actually now you're inside in China Town Sudirman Bandung, so yeah there so a lot of food who you didn't know it's halal or haram and many Chinese people that make you little shock (please understand). For some big cities, selling pork in a same foodcourt with halal cuisines is normal in Indonesia. We just need to make sure that what we order is Halal. Usualy there is Halal Logo/No Pork/No Lard wroting, but for pork/even dog there is pork/dog picture... Be safe

Oohh my heart skipped a beat when he said it was pork sate 😱 I had the same experience, but I really ate the whole plate of soup with pork in it 😩 I took the soup from the wrong pan 😢 But I know Allah is the most forgiving and the most merciful. He knows that I truly didn't know it was pork. I felt like throwing it all up, but I can't. So I felt sick for 3 days just thinking about it 😅 May Allah keep you and your friend safe and healthy in your journey. Aamiin 😊🤲😊

Of course you will find a merchant who sell porks, you were in Chinatown, it is widely available in Chinese restaurant and ethnic Indonesian foods which are not from a Muslim background. Indonesia is a diverse country, it's multicultural and multi religious society, in fact some of their traditional dishes are made of pork. So you have to be careful if you are in a place where the majority of people are non Muslim, although some smaller city can be very restrictive.

@@niyxzmaulida4600 sebenarnya Gak perlu khawatir soal haram Dan halal kalau Di Indonesia itu Karena aturan halal bagi setiap pedagang makanan itu ketat, jika Ada pedagang Yang menjual makanan non halal maka wajib rumah makan nya Di beri label Yang transparen seperti "sate B2" atau Di beri gambar Dan judul Yang sekiranya umat Muslim notice bahwa pedagang tersebut menjual makanan non halal. Cuma Saran saya Hati Hati Aja ketika kamu datang ke tempat Yang mayoritas non Muslim, walaupun sudah Ada peraturan tsb kadang Masih Ada Muslim Yang tidak cermat Dalam membeli makanan atau jajanan.

Salam Brother. I'm from Malaysia. Your story I can relate back then when we went to Bandung and my mom wanted so much to get Bakso (noodle soup with meatballs). But found out they were selling pork meatballs at a stall that we spotted. She didn't get any eventually. It's good to ask around and to confirm just to be safe

But if you compare to Bali or other city in the east, they're usually sell haram food next to halal food. But there is sign to inform if it's halal or haram. But also there are some restaurants in bali usually owned by muslim that only sell halal food. The customer are mix, because religion in Indonesia not always connect to their race.

that’s why in Malaysia they very strict about halal certificate and halal logo in their food store.. the sign ‘no pork here’ it doesn’t mean it’s halal 😅

Ya..betul tapi peniaga Non Halal tidak akan menjual makanan mereka dalam satu kawasan dengan peniaga Muslim. Di sini berketurunan Melayu yang sememangnya automatik beragama ISLam..kita boleh membezakan yang mana ketrunan Melayu Local 80% cina 15% dan India 3% dan pendatang 2%. Kerajaan disini telah menempatan tempat penyembelihan Babi / penjualan babi di asingkan jauh jauh2 dari pasar basah orang ramai..di tempat saya Terengganu ..penyembelihan dan penjualan Babi secara terbuka di Haramkan dan sejak saya lahir saya tidak pernah melihat orang menjual babi.. Saya telah.merantau hampir seluruh dunia..Malaysia lah tempat yang selamat untuk makan maknan Halal..kecuali di bahagian di Sabah dan Sarawak ..ada kawasan yg.majoriti kaum / suku yg mengamalkan agama kristian / anisme..

Some bakso are also made from pork. Especially when the sellers are chinese-indonesians. So be careful. It is better to always ask first. Or just buy bakso from hijabi sellers. :)

Bakso originally is indeed from pig meat. It's Chinese dish. But in Indonesia, the most popular bakso/meatball soup dish is the beef bakso one. Because muslim majority.
