Michelle! I am SO proud of you! Former gymnast and long time fan. Mad respect for your developed attitude on *progression vs. “failing” simply because it wasn’t 100% perfection. I loved this video. Good example of what you SHOULD do right here… listen to your body!!!
It was really cool to see how all the teachers bring their tools of the trade together and watch professionals bounce off each other. I liked that and want to see more of it.
Yoshi seems awesome 😍
I love the gymnast she’s so bubbly and happy
i'm obsessed with margzetta. she's one of my favorite gymnasts and she's so funny so i was super happy to see her in this video.
Omg I loved Margzetta's energy and being!!! Shes so cute and kind! Another great video Michelle! 💜
I was a gymnast and cheerleader, learning to do a standing back tuck was such a mental thing you have to get over and trusting your body is what’s gonna get you to land the trick. Also, keeping your eye on one thing on the wall and making that your thing you look for when you land helped me land my tucks every time😁
I still canNOT believe you flipped that many times in one day. I’m just remembering the people who run the gym being like “she jumped HOW MANY TIMES??? 😱😱😱” 😂 You are a BEAST and a constant inspiration, Michelle!
This was mind opening and made me realize so much about the mind body connection. Thank you so much for this really appreciate your efforts.
Yoshi is the MVP of this
i loved all the pros! stuntman was cool and gymnast was so positive. was already a fan of yoshi before this but i especially appreciated how he gave it to you straight and told you not to do any more at a certain point
The coaches are everything you could ever want in a coach, but in 3 ppl lol - strict, honest, but still cheerful and positive and they are having so much fun themselves
Should have gone to see Nile Wilson for this! He's the king of teaching back tucks. They didn't utilize SO many drills to help the movements.

I’m literally so proud of Michelle, I did gymnastics for 10 years before stopping after high school and it took me so many years to move my back tuck from the tumble track to the floor. It’s the last 1% of getting a skill that’s the hardest part, and it’s all mental. Michelle really gave it her all in this challenge and even though she didn’t quite meet her original goal she still did amazing!!
Marz tips are really helpful. I've watched many a backflip tutorial on KZread but not many cover everything from the takeoff to breaking down the landing
This meant a lot to me! Setting a goal trying so hard and then having to take a pause because you know you are not ready takes a strong mind. Thank you for always showing REALITY.
Love this! The honestly and realness about setting a high goal and not achieving it is very relatable. I'm a SUP instructor and lake surfer, and I know from teaching and my own surf journey that learning any physical skill requires patience, rest, and allowing yourself to fail again and again. Ego be damned! It makes the victory that much sweeter and more meaningful!
Michelle : I gonna learn a backflip also Michelle : hysterical laughter
Margzetta's enthusiasm for Michelle completely warmed my heart! She was being the best cheerleader & genuinely found enjoyment watching Michelle discover some passion for gymnastics. It was so adorable :)

I loved this video, it's so great to see you send the message that sometimes it's ok not to meet your set deadlines for the sake of doing things the right way and primarily taking care of your body and mind
You really do know how to do this KZread thing amazingly . I cant believe how well your videos are edited. Plus your an amazing person . Thanks for doing what you do .
Really enjoyed this episode, loved the enthusiasm 👍 You're pretty much a natural at everything you do, its super impressive 💯
Wow Michelle! Your back flip looked amazing! I find it so inspiring that you pushed yourself to learn such a difficult stunt in one day! And then listened to your body and extended your goal time! You are sending an important message that it's ok to wait and to keep trying! Love the support you got from Margzetta, Yoshi and Christopher!
Dearest Michelle, you inspire me 😸 I am so glad we have someone like you showing us that anything is achievable with the right guidance! Love you ❤️

Michelle: complaining about not making a lot of progress within a few hours. Me: let’s go after half a year I’m moving off the trampoline. Keep up the great work and another amazing video! Love your content and thanks for everything!
Thank you for coming in and teaching technique. The first dude had me worried.
This was so fun to watch!! 😍 You did AMAZING! Mad respect. Also I love your laugh and how you start dancing when you’re excited!
Its amazing to have coaches like this during the process of learning a skill. Props to them for telling her WHEN to stop doing it because mentally it does affect how your body adapts to it.
Yeah the stunt guy was the meanest, I think the other two were alot better and Michelle seemed to respond better to the both of them
@sjb4280

I think knowing how to flip and teaching someone how to flip are two different things. The stunt guy probably taught himself, while the gymnist and cheerleader probably had proper training so they know motivation, proper form, trust, etc is important when learning. You cant just come out the gate with tough love if trust hasnt been built yet and you havent tuaght proper technique.

This was fun to watch! They all had good advice, but Yoshi was great at coaching you through it.
The funny thing, whenever I have gone to a Parkour gym, or talked to someone about backflips, they say the back flip is the easiest to physically do. Just psychologically it is often the hardest.
takes a long time to learn any flip at all. to get this far in 24 hours is so impressive. and once u do it at first, u dont even know what your doing thats working, but eventually it'll feel like everything is moving in slow motion.
i’m still waiting for her to try hockey soccer gymnastics swimming and being a mom 😂 please like, so she does all of these things
I think this is my favorite challenge accepted video. The fact that you recognized your limits but not letting that be a defeat- sometimes our best doesn't reach our goals but it's still incredible. And you DID the backflip just not how you wanted. Love this
I personally think the best learning sequence is: roundoff back handspring, then roundoff backflip, then standing back handspring, and lastly standing backflip. That's how I learned, all on my own. Never had a single gymnastics class. I had mastered cartwheels and roundoffs for years. One day, I saw a kid doing flips. He told me I should just give a roundoff back handspring a shot. I did and the rest is history! The standing backflip came probably 6 months later after a lot practice. This was over 25 years ago! Now that I'm in my 40s, I can still do a standing handspring but I've lost everything else. I miss that sensation of defying gravity. Don't give up.
Missed your videos! Thanks for inspiring me to kick ass!
Really cool video! especially the different perspectives from the teachers. As someone who have taught gymnastics in Denmark for 12 years I find it fascinating. I do however disagree with their corrections, but without being there it is almost impossible to actually critique it. Please do more
Michelle you are so cool! I love how you show these challenges in a realistic way, with all the bumps and all. And girl you aced the back flip in just under a day :O
