“The focus that I have for the climb, I have no time for fear of heights.” I know he probably didn’t mean it in a deeper way but that kinda hit me in relation to life. You gotta be so focused on your journey that you have so time for fear of failure and the “what if”s.

That's really true. Also, when I'm climbing something at my limit and the fear hits, sometimes all it takes is to take a controlled fall to reset. Feel that trust in the gear, adjust the headspace, then shift back into the body and flow through to the send.

One of my fav episodes you've ever done. I lost my fiance in 2017 and my father four months after. From that I've gained a fear of driving, heights, flying, among others which i never had before. Yes that comes with getting older and no longer having the fearlessness we had as kids, but its largely due to the pain of the loss and seeing how it affected his parents.I have a fear of anything happening and putting my mother through the same thing. But this was a great motivator for me. This year on my 30th birthday I'll be older than my fiance and I want this year to be full of adventures and pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone. Love you Michelle, you have 😊been such a big part of my life since the og buzzfeed days

Sometimes i will jut be walking an i think "What if i trip and fall" It will get to the point where if im walking on cement i will purposely move to the grass if i fall just cause i think "i gotta be more careful" Its honestly really blocking and it stops you from doing alot. It feels like theres a voice in your head just going "Dont do this. Dont do this. Dont do this" and it keeps reminding you of that horrible day when it all happend, its truly life changing and i really am happy for michelle and that she got to do this. Michelle by doing this you showed me that i can get over my fears too, you acomplished something for everyone that has had these mental blocks, what you acomplished is really life changing for you i would imagine and i truly aspire to be like you. Hi Michelle, I am really sorry to hear that you have some scary memories with your past as a cyclist. But if indeed for someone who is defensively overcautious with scary things..you are doing INCREDIBLE. You always push yourself to do scary things, you challenge yourself quite literally! I don't know you but I somewhat feel so proud of you, and -dang- you should be too!!!! But not a little, like VERY proud! ..And by the way, you are one of the best creators in the whole youtube, your pushing yourself always with grace, strength and kindness is an inspiration!!

thank you for sharing! I've watched a few of your videos before from my recommended page but only now am I really going back and watching your content properly because it's so inspiring! so many things I've wanted to try but was afraid to. and I absolutely admire your courage and the way that you show this online to us too. it's one thing to try new things, but it's another to recognise your mental struggles and show how challenging it is, and taking us through your personal journey and thought process. it shows us that it is okay to feel these emotions because there are other people who think the same way. it shows how human we are and how anything is possible!! thank you so much. this is really adding onto my drive to push myself!

Michelle, you are so inspiring! Overcoming your height fear and being so strong mentally and physically is massive. I'm so sorry that you had such a traumatic experience with you cycling. I really enjoy cycling myself. I would really like to encourage you to "jump back on the horse". You are so courageous and being able to overcome something like that trauma is hugely empowering for yourself. Going through a situation that caused me trauma and never wanting to do it again but going back due to some necessity was a massive life experience for me. You got this girl! You're freaking awesome!
