Pretty surreal to come across this video at 2 AM on a random recommendation. I'm only about 10 minutes in but you've definitely earned my subscription. As someone that trained in pro wrestling and has a great appreciation for it, this was an absolute treat to watch. Kick ass job Connor! I know with your incredibly busy schedule you probably could not fit in too much time, but I hope you go out and watch some more wrestling (or maybe a live show with the other lads). Thank you again for highlighting DDT, and I hope you were able to move a lil the next day (I know I couldn't).

This seriously looked like a lot of fun, Takeshita seems like such a humble and nice dude, I used to watch wrestling all the time but after wwe went into the pg era I got bored but I still have the utmost respect for anyone who puts their body on the line to entertain, Japanese wresting looks crazy but in a good way 👍

Takeshita-san: Humble and friendly senpai ; Also Takeshita-san: "If you hit my chest like that you'll break your finger" 23:48. I know it's for safety but I couldn't help but giggle at that.

DDT is really fun to watch, so is NJPW and NOAH, all three bring something completely different to the table. If you want a great North-American alternative, you should look up AEW, it was co-founded by a guy who made his name in DDT when he was younger, Kenny Omega, known to be one of the best in the world. Takeshita is one of his great buddies and even got a few matches on AEW Dark, their free weekly show on KZread. Enjoy this rabbit hole! It's honestly really fun!

@@SHlNRlKlARU I second everything Jay said NJPW is so fun as is AEW and I highly recommend them both. If you're more into violence you can also check out GCW as well which is a ton of fun for another genre of fans more in line with something like the attitude era of WWE and ECW.

Really enjoyed this video. DDT guys were very welcoming. A lot of great talent have performed at DDT including Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Very happy to see Kenny remember his roots and bring over Takeshita. What a talent he is! Would love to see another pro wrestling vid

I really love the "I tried..." series. That match at the end was hella fun! Not bad for an amateur, though I have to say you are a natural at commentating (though that shouldn't be a suprise). Can't wait for a match of new best christ vs. old chris. Or Joey vs Grant followed by Aki vs Sydsnap! PS: I half expected you to come in full on iron mouse cosplay for that match lol

American here! I’ve always seen WWE wrestling when I was growing up, and I always thought that it was cheesy and lame. This video shed a new light on the insane amount of skill and acumen that you’d have to have to be able to do this type of work. I totally understand why Japan sees it as a sport, and not just entertainment. These dudes are truly dedicated to the work, effort, time, and bodily damage that the sport entails. Thanks for another awesome vid yet again, Connor!
