@@AbroadinJapan It is true to eat before an eating challenge (or thanksgiving ) but I find dodge dairy. A light oatmeal, a salad or bun with something in it or soups are good- though I'd not pick soup pre-soba challenge. You want to make sure you stomach is lined with something but not something heavy- binging after an empty stomach roils your stomach and binging after eating something heavy bloats you.

That would mean 100 bowls is about 5 normal portions. In the end I feel like it’s more of a psychological thing because if you’re eating and you see all the bowls you’ve completed in front of you, your brain will probably compute that as you having eaten more than you actually have

Reminds of the time when I ate a four man serving of self-made Soba all by myself and the ladies were completely baffled. Backstory: I was visiting a kind of Soba museum when I was in Japan and there was a "How to make Soba"-course, but the catch is that you have to eat what you make during it. (Usually you come with at least two people as far as I got it.)

As I understand it, cheese makes your stomach feel full, while vegitables expand the stomach. The vegitable thing I can believe, because I did it, and ate four plates before stopping. (Four full course meal plates)

I can easily predict that Connor will win, just because Chris has lost every single food challenge he's ever done against someone else.

Now we just need the final piece, that being Chris competing with Garnt. We’ve yet to see a Garnt and Chris collab and this would be the perfect way to start one off!

It's just their united British power, which make this possible.

Expanding stomach size is indeed a strategy, but not with high-fat foods like lasagna since they take a long time to digest and empty from the stomach. And regarding Connor's cholesterol levels I think it would actually improve after the soba challenge since it is supposed to be good for improving cholesterol levels.

That sucks! I remember having the stomach flu during my junior year of high school! DX Be sure to stay hydrated and stick to the B.R.A.T. diet (Bananas, Rice, Apples(uace), and Toast) and Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup (specifically Campbell's because there's not as much to digest) until you're better, you got this!

I love the three noodles of Morioka! My favourite is Jajamen. I did 130 bowls of wanko soba 😋 and I enjoyed every bit! My husband did 174.

I love how different Chris and Conner’s humour is. Conner is more Modern and memey while Chris is quite cynical and sarcastic. And they still play off each other so well. Class acts

I often think about Sharla telling the server to fuck off in a soba induced rage from the challenge she did with Joey.

To be fair Chris, you really don't have a great track record with food challenges. Now I would love to see Connor take on the monster gyoza challenge.
