omg have you seen the second one? I watched both as a child but the Snow White one was my favourite I feel like people forgot about it completely

Sammmmmmmeeeeee I loved snow while sooo much the first one seemed ok to me as a child, but Snow White was so fun to watch

I love this movie i watched it as a kid

I actually rewatched Happily Never After after finding the DVD a few months ago, and I swear it unlocked so many memories I thought I had forgotten about. It was "interesting" to say the least. ToT

I know some people who worked on this because they were my animation teachers in the early 2000s. Originally this film was supposed to be a traditionally hand-drawn feature version of a German TV show called "SimsalaGrimm" in which two animal characters travel through Grimms' Fairy Tales, righting things wrong with the plot. (There even was an English dub which you can find easily here on KZread.) Because of rights issues the TV show's brand and original main characters had to be removed from the film. Furthermore, thanks to investor meddling fuelled in large parts by Shrek 1 and 2's phenomenal box office success, the film was heavily re-written and retooled as a CG feature. The result was an uninspired Shrek rip-off, tone deaf, unfunny and charmlessly animated.

This film passed me by, but I've enjoyed your analysis 👏

This movie is a bit of a "so weird it's so good" deal to me I can give that Ella and Rick were adorable but the villains were honestly funny and entrateining, like Frida, the wolves, the giant and Rump were good to me. I remember how Rick dialogue with the wolves was full of "the bad guys treated him better" and that was a thing to think about that later got him realizing to do good for the better of the others and himself. I still see it sometimes, it's a good weird funny comf childhood movie to me! About the sequel....it's not related to this movie AT ALL. Like I saw it once when I was young and I only remembered how the animation was worse and the characters didn't act like themselves and simply reused some models (Snow White the mc is an Ella reskin) and some plot of Snow needing to accept her new mother or things.

Forgot this movie existed ngl. I can definitely see why lmao.

I must have been 8/9 when I first watched it but I think it was clearly something my sister and I watched on repeat and that's why all the references are burned into my brain 😂

I pretty sure some Granny confused this crap for Sherk when saw it in the 2 dollar bin at Walmart and gave this to he gradkid This movie isn't good it just ugly and not funny just cringy It makes Bratz Kidz Fariy Tales look like a masterpiece
