I’ve never been this close to a flat out sleeping horse before. It’s interesting to see all of them asleep. They must be aware that it is a safe place to be.

Being able to bodily sleep against a horse who is also sleeping is beyond amazing.

Gracie keeps up her super ninja moves even in her sleep, lol! It must feel lovely to relax knowing you've got all your friends by your side and no worries. Priceless!

I have weekend job being on guard duty whilst my two horse friends sleep. One time I sat on the ground away from them and I ended up falling a sleep myself and I woke up to the horses sniffing my head I think that’s the definition of being caught sleeping on the job!

This just makes my heart happy. From Gracie's dreamy romping to Luke's sleepy snores. Love how much they trust you to ALL sleep while you film them and talk. That shows their level of comfort with you and your voice....you're always talking to them so them might even be dreaming about you! Lol

Luke is smelling you, but knows you're a good friend so can go back to sleep 💤. Shows how much they trust you, how happy and safe they feel. You are the one they are depending on to be doing the guarding, so sweet.

The horses know they can all sleep together becuuse they,ve got you keeping them safe

Watching them to take naps makes me feel so relaxed. They indirectly teach us not to think too much about stressful life expectations. It's kind of like meditation to me.

The noises that Luke makes while sleeping are so funny! I've never heard a horse snoring before (or is it more like sleeptalking? Either way)! And Gracie resting her head by letting her mouth sit on the dirt... that really doesn't look comfortable, but to each their own, I guess!

WOW!! I've never seen horses flat out like that. At one time I was told that all horses slept standing up, but that is something that I found hard to believe.

So precious these noble sentient creatures. And this is why they must have some ground time while sleeping for the REM cycle. I learned that they are able to sleep on their feet but not that deep restorative sleep of REM. Thank you so much for sharing this I’m going to try and find a way and save it forever.❣️❣️❣️

Bless Gracie she's running from something in that head of hers ....don't disturb notice up 😂 Apparently they can only have REM sleep lying down which is essential to their moods like us , when they nap standing up their knees lock so they don't fall over ...while they are sleeping they are no hard work because no pooping and no eating 🤣

This video is one of my very favorites. It’s so heartwarming to see them able to fully & completely relax enough to get some REM sleep even while you’re close by. Gracie definitely would have been chomped on by a hungry mountain lion if out in the wild but I’m sure they don’t sleep that soundly in the wild. My quarterhorse we had she was bad about just Falling wherever and people would call saying I think ur horse is dead cause we called her and she didn't move I would have to go out and shake her and offer her a treat to get her up just to make them happy but she done that every day.lol best of times

I just woke up after my evening nap to this. Such a vibe. Have you been able to reliably lay anyone except Luke down yet or do you prefer to just leave them alone?
