I stayed at the highest hotel in the world! It didn’t go well!
In West Slovakia, born and raised,
On the playground was where I spent most of my days,
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool,
And suddenly started to take some chinese classes at school.
When a couple of Jackie Chan movies that were so good
Started to influence my adulthood,
Out of a sudden I got in an a plane and my mom got scared
She said, "You're movin' to China?!."
Well, yes.
I studied Sinology at the University and moved to China in 2009. I worked as a Chinese interpreter for over ten years (for example, interpreting for the Chinese president, premier, as well as Jackie Chan). I founded a travel agency that organized trips to unconventional destinations in China. Today, I make videos about China in Slovak on my KZread channel “Pavel Dvořák - Cesty Čínou” and in English on this channel. I also filmed and produced a twenty-four-part travel documentary series about China for Slovak Radio and Television. My debut book “Moja čínska dekáda” (My Chinese Decade) was selected as the book of the year 2022, became one of the best-selling books in Slovakia, and was nominated for several prizes, some of which it won. It has also been translated into Czech. In 2024, I published my second book, which is currently being sold in Slovakia. My goal is to reach at least 100K subscribers on this channel and then bring those books to the English market as well. So, subscribe to help me achieve that!

Paul, thank you for sharing the experience in Guangzhou. Apparently you did a study in details, so your shot is so different with the others. Very interesting and informative. Wish you enjoy the tour in China.
Awesome footage! Thank you Paul!
Loved your documentary of the place
I used to work in the Sears Tower, so I know the feeling of a day in the clouds! The price is much lower than I expected! always nice to end with a little Herb Alpert!

Hello everyone, I am from Hangzhou, China. And I have traveled almost the whole China, so I can say that I know a lot about traveling in China. Recently, because of the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, I see that more and more foreigners are very interested in traveling to China. However, many foreigners don't know much about China, including the apps they need to use during their travels, some cultural customs, the choice of travel locations and so on. As a Chinese ,I am very happy to provide convenience for those who want to travel to China, if you have any information you want to know, please feel free to comment or contact me!😊❤
Aiya April-June is 梅雨季节 in Guangzhou la, monsoon season is not for the faint of heat haha. Well a disappointment is another satisfaction yet to be achieved, the best is yet to come 🙂

It is not hard to guess that you were a gymnast coming from Eastern Europe and able to do flips and ring hanging. I bet your wife was a gymnast from China too. That could be totally off. Tell me.
视频质量很差。

@Oldbrow You open a new channel just to leave me a comment? I feel honored, but why don't you just use your own channel to be a D.
Can't place your accent. It's all over the place.
Going to a five-star hotel complaining about cost of laundry and $25 room service. What a cheap guy. LOL....

既然会讲中国普通话,不妨把:(based on your normal interaction in Chinese with Chinese, there's no harm to:) 1,标题用拼音输入法描述,看看自己是否能够精简,准确描述 (Apply Chinese PinYin method to quote your title for this clip, to see whether you can use minimum Chinese words to describe precisely your encounters) 2,干脆以中国普通话来阐述一切。 (Instead of English, let viewers hear you out in Chinese, expressing every detail of your experiences) 3,听不懂普通话的人,肯定会好奇你在说啥 (Those who doesn't understand spoken Mandarins, will be curious about what you're driving at) 4,尊敬是对方给的 (Respect is earned)
