Have a PRO. Work as a industrial maintenance tech and it comes in very handy. UV for find leaks. Laser for directing work to other workers. Magnet mounting so you can work in cabinets hands free. Not cheap but really good value and carry it everywhere. UV sees a different world around you and not too worried about the proprietary charger as I wont even charge it once in a week.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Olight flashlights. I now own several of them. The Warrior Mini 3 is to date the best tactical EDC light I have come across so far. Super bright 1750 lumems, with a true tactical mode and instant strobe! Their batteries are top notch. As far as the magnetic charging cable, it is WAY more convenient to use than any usb or usbc cable and totally inexpensive and worth it to simply purchase a couple more if needed however because I now own a few different Olights, I have more than enough charging cables. Nitecore makes some great lights too but for now, Olights have been doing a solid job!

I bought several of them last year and agree warrior 3 mini is ideal cross between size, output and runtime. Mag charging is great, chargers are cheap and a couple flashlights and you start building up more chargers than will be needed for a long while. I don't normally like proprietary, but usb c and micro charging has not worked out well for flashlights for me. Maybe just over use and abuse, but mag chargers have so far been a great option.

Once you own 10+ olight flashlights having enough charge cables around becomes a non-issue. LOL. They used to sell a charging dock for multiple lights but I don’t see that any more.

Yes, like the warrior 3s, marketing as 2300 lumens, but in real world its only a shit 800 lumens as the marketed 2300 lumens can only be activated from 100% to 95% battery, then the mode is totally disabled, and tou have in hands 3 times less than what you payed for... not true on nitecores, my p20ix can put 4000 lumens even at 10% battery, anytime, anywhere, no misleading informations, no lie marketing, no profit at all cost. Olight for me is just the mid range and below, top of the line from olight is just a waste of money, they focus on colors, gimmicks, fooling, everything but light.

@@kurogana01 Obviously they don't place NO focus on the light as you say. That focus is ALONGSIDE the deceptive marketing. The products are still really good quality/value and have all or most of the features anyone could want. I agree deceptive marketing is disheartening. Sad fact is, it works. And it allows them to sell a lot more keeping the prices down. Silver linings i guess.

I mean, we gotta think about it in terms of what problem these things are trying to solve. Is it size? There's tons of really great 10440 or 14500 torches out there that perform just as well while being smaller. The biggest problem, IMO, is non-serviceable batteries in an inclosed system. Batteries do go bad and when they do, you'll either toss the whole flashlight or send the whole thing in for repair. Olight is far from the best when it comes to warranty, as well.

I received an arkfield pro for Christmas this last year, and I have found it to be a very cool EDC light. I carry it in my jacket as my back up light. I find the flat design sits more comfortably in my pocket. I also really like the UV aspect, because once the weather dries out, I hope to be going with my grandson again looking for hidden marbles, and some of them are UV reactive, so having this light will make them easier to find. it is a lot more powerful than the UV we had last summer.

However did recently add the Pro since its the steriod version of the UV with a much stronger laser included. Charge cables? They're all over my home from all the purchases I've done. Side note. I carry the OPort as well, a Keychain sized magnetic charge adapter for Usb-c cables. Unclear if Olight still selling them or not.

Hi, thank you for making this awesome review and comparison. You didn't mention one important consideration: what happens when end of battery life comes. Those bulky cylindric lights you mentioned in the beginning usually have an easy way for users swapping battery. Usually a flashlight's lifetime is way longer than that of the battery inside. I would like to know what happens when an Arkfeld reaches end of battery life. Will the batteries inflate like most of gel LiPo batteries? Will you know the time has come before battery stretches the light body apart? Will there be a way to have the light serviced and new battery installed? Will the light be trashed? If yes, how shall we recycle it?

Thanks for the fantastic video. I have three Olights and the charger issue isn't really too much of an issue, but you really made a valid point because I did have to search for one of my spares one night. Also, as a concern in the flashlight community, these types of flashlights do not have a modular design where the battery can be swapped out. The internal battery has a limited lifespan like all other lithium ion powered devices. So it begs the question, "Does it make it a bad flashlight?" No, but it is something to consider depending on one's "Philosophy of Use." Thanks again for the awesome video.

I own 15-20 different Olights and I prefer the magnetic charger over a usb style. My edc choice though is the Warrior mini 2 or 3 which is more powerful. On the weekends though, I carry the Arkfeld Pro, as it carry’s better, more like a knife. I’ve given out hundreds of Olights to friends, family members, and my workers, usually several lights per person. Everyone knows their either getting a flashlight, a knife, 5.11 gear or a bible for birthdays and Christmas from me. Most people that I’ve given the Arkfeld’s to, prefer them for the three light versatility. With the laser they are great for pointing things out to workers and customers, as you explained, and the UV helps us find refrigerant leaks. For a hat lights, I would recommend the S1R, Baton 3 or 4. As for 90° lights the Perun’s are great, they double as a headlamp or clip onto a backpack should harness. I own Surefire & Streamlights, but I prefer my Olights. I even have several of their weapon lights, to which I really like their dual battery versions.

Great content with thorough everyday use testing. IMO the flat EDC lights are more than just easier to pocket carry, they offer the kind of beam suitable for most everyday uses. My Nitecore Tip SE torch gets used about 80% of all my other torches for the plain fact that the beam has more of a flood effect rather than a spot effect as beam distance is less of an issue for my daily tasks, a matter of fact to use a torch with a spot beam for getting light in spots right in front of me, tends to tire my eyes where the flood beam effect mitigates that issue for me. My Nitecore NF01 is my Home and neighborhood patrol torch as it has the beam of the conventional spotlight torch and can throw the light at distance to identify objects more naturally.

I was lucky to win a limited edition version of the Arkfeld flat and while I like the idea of it I had the same issues you had with it. I decided to spring for the Pro recently and have zero regrets. While larger it wears smaller then the Flat. The tri light design is amazing for my job in security as it allows to shine light where needed, highlight issues to contractors, building operators and the guard force, the UV light facilitates investigations of currencies and official documents as most official GOVT document, legal tender and credit cards have UV markers. Your comment about the charging cable is very valid for someone that only has a single Olight product. That issue becomes nul and void if you have a or already well invested in the Olight universe since you get a cable with each light and can address the night stand, edc bag and where ever else you want a cable issue you brought up.

My next flashlight I'm a high CRI over anything else. I've discovered most of my flashlights make it possible to see the difference between leaves and rocks. Lumens are overrated, my eyes adjust to the dark pretty well. Also: Olight's custom batteries and chargers are a no go. Just use USBC-PD please and standard cells.

Wow that’s an enormous amount of work programming a flashlight?! The flex would be my choice but for the same charging issue that you brought up I wouldn’t buy any of the Arkfelds! My Rovy Von E1 has a hybrid option of having a short term battery back up. It doesn’t compare with the power or output but I’m a fan of the option. It’s flat like it’s bigger brothers & takes a usb-c.

I have the UV/white light version. It is for times when I need to find something in a room, or a keyhole in a door. It's not a combat light. Thinking about getting another but don't need the laser....the one I have has the better clip and the flat bottom...

I do not have an Arkfeld, but the Pro is definitely the one I’d go with. I am currently stuck in the 18650 battery ecosystem right now and it doesn’t make sense to venture out of it at the moment. I have two Baton 3 Pros that have been excellent EDC lights for me.

Well I noticed you got 3 lights, now you have 3 cables to charge with.. If the gave out an extra cable you would have 6 and that's another complaint lol.. They also sell a keychain usb c, where you can use your type-c cable so there's that.. but olight is the only brand that thinks outside the box.. Love my olight...

First off, I didn't take the time to read ALL the comments so I might be echoing previously made comments. I own both the original Arkfeld and the Arkfeld Pro. My first comment is directed toward the Arkfeld Pro. The second comment applies to both. 1. The lazer. Like you mentioned, when double clicking on the lazer, the light turns on as well. Therefore making the object visible in the dark while seeing the lazer pointing at the object/area. What was missed was that once the light is on with the lazer, all it takes is a long press to lesson the intensity of the light. I've found it to be useful especially that the light can drown out the lazer when used up close. 2. The charging magnet. Dude, the Arkfeld (Pro) is a too! And the magnet is simply part of the tool. There have been many times I've that I've used the charging magnet as a magnet. Once I dropped a bolt in the engine compartment of my car. I tied the Arkfeld to a string of paracord to fish the bolt out. Another time I dropped a bunch of screws and used the magnet to pick them up. I've also used the magnet to find metal objects in the carpet or lawn. Sure, there are those that want a flashlight. Turn it on, turn it off, simple. I prefer to carry a tool that does more than that. I've used (and continue to use) all of the features the Pro has to offer. I wonder if olight will come out with a version of the Pro that will have an articulating head as well? For now, I'm mostly completely satisfied with the arkfeld pro. One tiny little thing. I found out the hard way that the lens of the Arkfeld is made of plastic that, when bumping around in my pocket with other items, scratches. It's not a problem when using the light but the lazer ended looking like a big spider web. Olight was kind enough to replace the damaged light. A solution would be to make the lens out of sapphire not unlike the sapphire crystal on my watch. ...just sayin'

Olight, unlike other brands have a strong community that are all about collecting as many lights as they can put out. I’ve been following them for years, and I know people that have well over 50 of their lights and have given out 4 times that in gifts. They cater to people to buy multiple lights at a time. So it’s never an issue to have multiple lying around. For those that only want the one light, I guess just get an extra charger. For what yo have in the light, just get another one.

I have both the pro which i love and the original but my original is different than yours. Mine was only $50 and has a UV light as the second light not a laser. It also has the thinner butt and nicer clip like the pro. Not sure why mine is different. I'm not crazy about the non standard charger but i have 3 or 4 olight flashlights that use that charger so i have multiple chargers.

I chose the Arkfeld flat. I felt the body was shorter. lighter and slimmer. I did not see the need for the uv light. I think I only paid $65 for the flat version, so it was cheaper for me and despite the bigger butt, it was smaller in the pocket.

I like the magnetic chargers, I find them convenient especially if you have more than one Olight then you have multiple chargers. The Flat Arkfield is definitely my most used EDC as well. The annoying part of those magnetic chargers is their weapon lights have an opposite magnetic polarity, so you can't use the flashlight magnetic charger on the Baldr or Valkyrie tactical lights. I'm not sure why they do that but that's the only annoying thing I don't like.

The older models have 2 tap for turbo and 3 tap for strobe and the new ones you can switch it between only those 2 modes. You make a big deal about the wide bottom of the laser version but imo the newer laser version is more popular and it has a slimmer bottom, you’re point probably still stands on the price difference.
