Nose mint is really good for allergies and waking up. The thing needs to go in your nose not outside. Also, let it sit in a warm area so the oils vaporize a bit more for extra strength.

@@idislikemints It's basically putting mint deep in your nostrils. Depending on how you apply it, it can get *strong*. If that sounds like that will wake you up, then do give it a try. Keep in mind some might advertise it for other medical usage, but it's definitely not a general cure all for things like headaches or other illnesses.

I don't know about the advertised focus claims. But I've definitely taken strong mints (Frisk Black Mints, TicTac X-Freeze, etc) in the morning to get myself out of bed. If you're not suffering from something that'd keep you feeling sleepy (caffeine withdrawal, poor sleep, or lack of sleep) then I have to say that feeling of mint filling your nostrils definitely shocks you from being half asleep to at least somewhat willing to get out of bed.

it also helps to clear your nose up when you have a blocked nose.

The nose mint thing exists for years in my country and probably a lot of other European countries but it's used to unplug your nose when you're sick. Mostly elder people though, I've never seen anyone my age have it.

Yeah! Belgian here. My mom has one in her purse, coat pocket, car,.. They're super cheap. I personally don't feel like it does anything when i'm actually sick or have a congested nose but she swears by it.

As weird as the face shield is, I actually quite like it. But I am biased, because I love all kinds of glasses and shades.

If you want something to sniff that'll wake you up try ammonia crystals (smelling salts). Even a small whiff is like a smack in the face, seriously, shit hurts, but it wakes you up too.

The nosemint is pretty much an inhaler(we call it an inhaler lol) It's also here in the Philippines and in other countries, not just Japan The nosemint helps unclog a stuffed nose and i think helps those who are dizzy I've used it a couple of times and it helps unclog my nose Some of my friends have the nosemint too

6:57 we still use face shields here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and I swear one time I was riding the jeepney and this lady had this exact same face shield on 😂 everyone was staring at her 😂 😂 😂 I'll never forget how cool she looked 😂

It might sound crazy but the mint stick in my county is the best thing on the go for stuffed nose. You sniff it once and man... You don't have to use tissues for the next two hours

I remember in middle and high school my teachers had peppermint out for exams because apparently there's studies that peppermint makes you more alert. I never looked into this and actually forgot about it until this video.

The snorting thing is actually very common in thailand too, everyone uses and runs around with those 😄

Just imagine someone putting the Nosemint on there mask and your like out in public and someone is just like doing like a crazy face sniffing the mask 😂🤣

the mint one is really great for allergies, i remember my grandma giving me one to snort whenever i get a bad allergy reaction(spring allergy), it reduces the pain and makes breathing easier, idk about this one but the one she gave had a really strong scent

I would never use essential oils to replace professional help, but I have a cheap set that I use with my diffuser just to chill in my room with and make it smell nice and sometimes I get sleepy from it, or that's just boredom, lol. As for the face shield, that could be used as a cosplay somehow. Joey cracked me up with calling it a reject of Daft Punk, that actually is what it sort of looks like, lol. Or sort of like the face masks worn in Squid Games (looking forward to your video on that, by the way!).

The nose thingy is a huge thing in the Carribean everyone has em. Its to help like stuffy noses, colds or headache. There is also vicks and bayrum as well as shilling oil. It was funny seeing someone talk about it with such a shocked response. I guess it is pretty weird ahaha, its common place in my country.

The face shield makes it look like you stole Big One's helmet and ripped off the face plate😆

In thailand, the nose mint is called “ya dom” which means sniff medicine. It helps you when you have a stuffy nose and when you are feeling tired. It acts as a refresher to calm you down. Sometimes when people faint this is used to calm them down and bring them back to their senses There’s also a clip of Lisa from black pink pronouncing it too ✨

Nose-mint … I actually have seen and used something similar here in Florida; but it was supposed to be for clogged noses during cold/flu season. Yes it helped clear my sinus and woke me up. Now why does it work for someone people and not others; probably the same reason why some people have a hard time with spicy food and not others. Despite as humans being built the same, we still react to things differently from person to person. BTW, not all cats react to catnip the same way (catnip being in the mint family)

So for the part where Aki talks about how essential oils don’t work for her and she mentions all the different medicines she takes to solve the various issues. I totally get that, but I’m becoming to realize that it’s an American thing. I’m also American and I was the same way. If I had a headache or sinus issues or anything I wouldn’t hesitate to take some medicine for it. And I didn’t notice until I moved abroad that it’s not really normal and Americans are just super comfortable with relying on medication. We’re honestly an extremely overmedicated population 😅

I don't think it's just americans. I'm european and I take painkillers, nosespray, cough syrup and melatonin when necessary. Lately I have been taking indigestion pills almost daily as well. Difference is that Europe has very strict laws on what is approved for general use. This applies both to medication and processed food. So it's easy to trust that no dangerous things would be sold over the counter like that.

I use something like that every so often. It helps me a bit. I'm allergic to dust and work in a really dusty place. But it isn't designed to for people to focus.

In where i live it's not in stick kind of form, it's liquid. You apply just a little to your pillow, collar etc. But the scent is so strong (it's mint extract). It's used to open stuffy noses and to sleep better i think

i remember back in elementary school when we were taking our state tests, there was like a movement among educators that mint helps you focus, so they would get us the scent-sy pencil that smell like mint. i honestly cant remember if it actually worked or not but part of me wants to say it did

We have a similar thing to the nosemint here in the Philippines. It’s the vicks inhaler and a lot of people use it when they have a headache or cold. You put it in your nostril and inhale and it feels so cold.

I've got the face shield for a cheaper price and there are many colours and kinds of them. My one is just clear and transparent. Or should I say, Simple and Clean?
