I was adopted and found my birth father and half siblings. It didnt go well. They didnt want nothing to do with me. Im 61yrs old and realize they will be nothing to me but strangers. Yeah, I still wonder why sometimes and my mother never told me the truth. She passed away years ago. So, I came to realize my adopted Father was my true Father. May he R.I.P.

Just because someone is a "sperm donor " or they are, it doesn't make them your father. I'm not adopted, but my abusive dad never wanted kids. In fact, he saw, and yes, told us we[ my two sisters and I]wrecked his plans/life and that "I wish you were never born." to us/my sisters. Fatherhood is SO MUCH MORE than the giving 23 Chromosomes whether one is adopted or not. I'm glad you had a dad l, who valued and appreciated you though, eventhough he adopted you. God Bless!

Yes I was very surprised in the last one where the grandmother told her son not to worry about his daughter just let her come looking for the father when the time is right .. What the heck ? ... so now that girl and her Dad lost all those years together . Just weird that they made no effort to look for the girl 😢. And with Alan that was strange that his mother couldn't cope with him ... ? I don't know if it meant she had some kind of depression or just didn't want to be a mom back then or if she was maybe some kind of an addict ... ?

Certainly something I can never understand either. However, there are parents out there that once they separate for whatever reason, one parent will do anything and everything to prevent the other parent having a meaningful or any kind of relationship with the children of the relationship. I know a couple whose relationship ended and the mother did everything possible to keep the children from seeing their father. Now twenty two years after the divorce, one daughter is getting married but does not want her father to walk her down the isle. The youngest son does not want a relationship with his father either all the while the father has done everything possible to try to build relationships with each of his three children.

You are so accurate, my sons did see their father occasionally but he never contributed a penny or gave them emotional support or unconditional love . I stayed silent and encouraged a relashionship with him . Now they are grown men who are amazing , stable and fantastic sons . They are in charge of their feelings for him, not me . They almost certainly remember but have forgiven him for the emptiness whilst growing up . I am a very proud mother .

I don't agree! My 'father' left when I was 1. I never missed him cause I didn't know him. He was a stranger to me. My Mom, Grandparents, extended family provided me with more than enough love and support when I was growing up. I don't understand how people miss their biologicals IF they have a wonderful parent or family in their life! Aside from knowing medical history, who would want to beg someone to come back after that person 8/10 times stayed away for reasons you'll never really know the truth about.

You can be married and still have a parent walk out and not have anything to do with their kids. Heck theirs cases of people who go “missing” only to be found years later and admit they didn’t want their spouse or kids anymore. Being married has nothing to do with it, some people are just scum bags, don’t make it like just because some people aren’t married when they have kids is the only reason they disappear on their kids because marriage means nothing to some people.

My son's father went 33 years without seeing him (last seen as an infant). I tried to get him to agree to a meeting when my son turned 18. He agreed and then reneged. After that i told my son my advice was to forget about him, but he said he had some questions, and travelled to his home town and had a one-hour meeting. After that his father said he would like to stay in touch, but my son is not planning to do so. I don't really feel you should forgive people their decisions if they have been selfish and heartless.

When his son grew up he met his dad, my brother. He went back and told his sister " mom lied all these years". I believe the guy. Thankfully I was raised with my siblings by 2 loving parents, but I have seen the pain and heartache not knowing your parents can do to your life. I pray for my friend that one day she will hear something of her mother, she knows her father has passed away.

Don't believe his father said I'll get the wetsuits for my son Wheel of Fortune doesn't offer things like that. Your prizes are surprises. Maybe he saw him on The Price is Right. I looked and looked for the Wheel of Fortune episode in this video but they didn't play the recording of his father. If it was actually The Price is Right and not Wheel of Fortune that's a big mistake especially when you make it your title

On the older version of Wheel of Fortune the winner of each round would select prizes with their winnings.

When my mothernpassed, my father told me that before they met my mother was an unmarried mother to a son. He had been adopted out when they married. It was a different world in 1940's.I found out about my brother.on the Friday and from not even knowing he existed to meeting him 3 days later. Unfortunately he didn't want to stay in contact but that was ok. I wish things had been different but my mum's rejection hurt him deeply

I have no idea who my father's family is. He was not willing to talk about his circumstances in detail for me to put in a timeline. I know a few stories. All I know now is that he was born in Austin, TX and lived in Plainview, TX. THEN he changed his last name when he married my mother, at least that's what I think. No one ever talked about it. I know why he picked the name, but did he do it legally? Did my parents register their marriage in 1959? I need help finding more information, and not many family members are alive anymore. I love my parents and respected them beyond belief. To know more about them is what I and my brothers could really use to feel closer to them. Thanks.

I have watched all your shows. I dont have any missing family but I would like to find a brother and sister Vanessa and Mathew Bianchini (Not sure of the spelling) Their mom's name is Anita. I met them in Sydney Australia in 1979. Their mom was a good friend. Anita would be 47 now and Matthew would be 51.
