    Can we just Imagine this doll was alive, in the beginning going “oh I’m ok the sooner I get thrown away the better” then getting taken apart going” yea I will never be pretty again tear me to pieces” then seeing herself in the mirror with beautiful skin and a outfit then bursts into tears going “ thank you thank you so much!”

    watching you fix up old toys reminds me of being a kid, dirt poor, only having my parents' broken old toys or cheap dollar store dinosaurs to play with, and eventually learning i could "doctor" them when their legs snapped off or the fabric tore. mom collected different fabric then never used any of it, and i had access to this, needles, thread, glues, all the very very basic things to (very poorly lol) fix them up with, but no one to teach me how to do it better. i would try to make clothes for them, even. no matter the species. even the reptiles and frogs. im still dirt poor and took up digital painting/illustration instead because its practically free to do in supplies, and im almost 30 now so i havent doctored a toy in a couple decades, but boy this really made me remember how much i actually enjoyed fixing them up, even if they only had literal unmatching-but-close-enough-colored patches sewn on them or obvious paint blobs. its cool seeing you do what i didnt realize still immensely satisfies my brain, only 100x better edit, forgot to mention that i appreciate the fact the thumbnail for this isnt photoshopped or misleading to hell and back.

    Wow! You are certainly multitalented!! Not only a painter (with both paintbrush and airbrush), but also a tailor as well! In addition there's a mechanical knowledge and a curiosity to research historical artifacts to ensure accuracy. Oh, I almost forgot -- hairdresser talent. The amount of man-hours put into this makes the final result worth a pretty penny (as they say). Very impressive!

    The care and thoughtfulness that you put into this is so beautiful. This was a little child’s doll that the loved and carried around and put to sleep. Thank you , happy I found this channel.

    I love Efanbee dolls, my grandmother used to get me a new one every year. They were from the 80s. Watching this made me cry in the beautiful memory of my grandmother. She was a classy lady I miss dearly. The tears were good ones though, you did a gorgeous job in the restoration!

    Wow… the transformation is amazing. That doll was once loved by a child and the years were certainly not kind to the poor doll. You made her look like she just came off the assembly line in 1928. Well done

    I have a question about the stuffing: does it go "bad" after a certain amount of time?

  • @duanemadeit9460

    @duanemadeit9460

    3 жыл бұрын

    Sometimes! It depends on the stuffing. The more organic it is, the more susceptible it is to that. Like, a lot of older dolls will use things like wood chips, sawdust, or different kinds of seeds or ground meals.

    If you need to make a collar, it is so much easier to cut two out and sew them right sides together, clip into the curve and turn right sides out, press, then sandwich the neck of the coat in between and sew. No more fiddly hems. If the material is thick cut the second layer out of something thinner or it could be too bulky. The finished look was great. I was impressed you dyed the material, I've never had much luck with that. The Beret your friend made was the perfect finishing touch. I have just discovered your channel as it was in my recommendations. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

    Can you do videos without music? The sound of your incredible work needs no enhancement. The same music doesn't suit everyone, but everyone loves the work you do!

    Sometimes I do ones without music! It kinda depends on the piece and what feel I’m going for with the video as a whole. But there will be more musicless ones!
