What's It Feel Like to relapse after rehab?:
Eric describes the fear he had the first time he went to rehab for heroin addiction. He completed his treatment, but 8 months and 30 days later....he relapsed. He describes the shame and embarrassment that came with the relapse and what it felt like to call his family and let them know. Eric is now in long-term recovery working as an admissions director at Sana Lake recovery center in Missouri.

I have either relapsed because I hang with the wrong people, not involved with my program, and feel emotional at moments: when I went to Vegas, I relapsed just because the activities for my best friends bachelorette party involved drinking, and I felt verrry alone 😑
I see so many people with lengthy periods of sobriety relapse and are so wrapped up in all of these recovery groups it gets in their head they have to start completely over. This is so not true!! I had 3 years clean of off meth addiction where I recovered fully. Built my business back ,owner of a home and etc. point is just because I relapsed didn’t mean I lost all of that. I simply got up the next day and forgot about it and no one can tell me I have to start over
Amazing video. I helped a friend get into rehab. Our bond is very strong now.
Here’s a revelation I finally grasped. Abstinence + change = recovery. If we are not willing to change and learn actual coping skills, we will Use drugs.

I was sober for eight years and I suddenly relapsed and I could not stop drinking for two years i tried aa, hospitals and last I am gone through cataract surgery. I lost everything in life and sitting home and crying. So try not to relapse you do not know whether you relapsed you just continue drinking,due to urge, withdrawal, sleep etc anybody just avoid alcohol it's only the way. One day at a time.
