This is pretty spot on. They don;t talk about the relapses and violence and other important things. Some people became close friends rooming together, The roomies I had I barely saw as I was always out on the grounds. Oh I am NOT talking about this particular sanitarium, I went to a different one. Mine was actually nicer looking than this. I like how the left out the detox room where you will live for 2 weeks ore more. That's because detox ward is not pretty like the regular rooms. Sleeping on a shitty cot with virtually no padding and don;t even think about rolling over! The one I went to took ur phone away and their was no wifi. You eventually get ur phone back. As uncomfortable as rehab sounds, it is 100% worth it. You will be amongst other addicts and you heal together. All walks of life. Even just spending 6 weeks away from home can help break your routine. Try not to worry to much about the detox part. They make it as painless as they possibly could. At the end of the day rehab is rehab. It's not a tropical vacation etc. You are there to save your life. Put the effort in. I've only gone once and I have been clean since. Hopefully forever

7 years of sobriety here. This disease does not discriminate. I have been in the rooms for even longer then the 7 years I have. I have seen everyone and anyone from Doctors, teachers, lawyers, Construction workers, counselors, old, young, all the in between come and go in and out of the anonymous rooms. It doesn’t matter if you are ugly, pretty, white, black, short or tall. It’s sick shit. There been people that walk in to meetings sit down and take their own life right there. I can guarantee anyone reading this is either an addict/alcoholic or knows someone. My life is far from perfect, however, I would take my worst day today over my best day drinking/using. I even had to start Gamblers Anonymous while in NA and AA. I can say so much more but I will just keep it to this. One last thing if you are afraid of telling someone the chances are that they probably already know that you have a problem. If you need to reach out to a stranger in always here. I have a poem on my channel about addiction. I was a little nervous but it’s there. If no one told you today. I am proud of you and I love you.

Congratulations on your sobriety!

This place really reminds me of the Maudsley Hospital in London where I sorted myself out with their help ,not to flash and most importantly making new friendships.

This looks just like what I need to help me get my life back together.

I'm 29 and finally clean 7 months. I was ina 2 different rehabs 1 week detox 3 week rehab. First one didn't do methadone or subs I stayed 4 days amd left only fave you water and Gatorade and a few non narcotic meds that didn't help at all and could not smoke at all and was inside the pod all day and went to gym only time you left the building for 2 hours. And it was just a single bed two of them in each room woth a small thin medical pad a sheet thin pillow and blanket it aucked and didn't help at all. My second place was a hell of alot better we went outside and stayed active like they do here did groups could smoke and they started me on a suboxone maintenance program and then got me functioning 100 percent in about a month beds and rooms was little better it was actual wood single beds not concrete off the wall beds like last place and food was amazing like reatraunt amazing go to Bradford if you live in Alabama best rehab and detox their is in the south I promise you it is hell for two weeks in the detox halls not pretty at all after the hell then it gets really nicer beds and situation you can sleep cuae everyone is sleeping and not puking and crying and shaking and sick 24 7

Im gonna have to go back to get off the suboxone in about 6 months and be done 100 percent with the addiction being on opiates wise including subs

They may not ask you for insurance immediately but thats just as bad as asking for insurance after describing the beauty of the place. So, they get the potentoal patient hopes real high by looking at the beautiful scenery and activities only to be told you cant afford it. Id rather you be upfront because it does come down to finances and insurance.

I just called this place to inquire. Talked to Richard and he immediately asked if I had insurance. I told him no and he said 30 day treatment is 19k and just detox 5-10 days is 7k. :(

This is exactly what I have been trying to say to people for the last three years. The only sing the centers will do is rob you blind of your money. They see people who need help probably feeling a bit weak and the whole no insurance thing they’re going to charge you three times as much for bad treatment bad experience and bad food all around believe me I’ve been there

Or its standard information the same as what you need help with. Its about finding that right facility and program to help. And in most cases actual HELPS people to get insurance. But anyone who goes here should refuse to give insurance information ever period, because then its about money....

I saw the most ferocious demons in my withdrawal from alcohol. Talk about terror and extreme panic attacks. My uncle punched me out cold and I woke up 2 days later in a library . Next time I’ll go to rehab

Hasn't changed much since 2002 when I went to rehab. I went to a Western NY rehab and it saved my life. I was able to move to a group home after and continue outpatient treatment. It's a bit scary at first, but people care. They want you to succeed.

Idk. Sure does seem drugs are a gateway drug to tattoo abuse.

Don't rehab centers really just care about the money they get . My ex is in one n it's 1500 a day from medicaid. He cut me off yesterday.. I wanted to go n see him but he said no. N goodbye to me. To centers encourage the people to leave behind people. Places etc...

And make sure theyballow smoking and have tons of activities you can do everyday so it's just not mef lines food and groups you need activities to help pass 5 hours of a day while in recovery center its worth it don't be scared just go in while high and saying I'm gonna go to rehab get someone to drive you what I did easier to do it high going in then in withdrawal trust me. And just go I cried at both places for the first 30 hours off and on cuse of the withdrawal setting in so was everyone else in detox side no body judges you and you will find ppl your age that really helps to find a friend or two and go through it together there as in a friend you make in the place don't bring one but I went with my friebd to my second one and we did it together at same time super easier like that get sober guys you will not regret the pain and recovery process I promise once it's over with

Rehabs like these are all a waste of time, man power, human strength. Which eventually turns into self pride and self boast. The real recovery is The Word Of God (THE BIBLE) KJV to be exact. It's all about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John 3:16 is all you need to know, believe, be saved from not just the addiction but from your self and focus ONLY on serving the Lord and not your self of Earthly personal needs or accomplishments. But the accomplishments for the Kingdom of Heaven, home of the Almighty Father God. No Rehab, No Therapist, No Counselor, No Mentor, No NA, No Program will save you but the only and ONLY Jesus Christ. Jesus said I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Plenty of people turned to jesus for recovery and still died from their addiction. But you know, god works in mysterious ways. He's just very selective on who makes it and who doesn't.

My husband is now in one luxury resort getting his rehab, he left a struggling family, a wife with w 3 year old baby that loves him, he lost his job he left us by our selfs I don’t care what they say about addiction who is going to rehab us from the broken heart and the struggles , I beg my husband to stop drinking with my baby on my arms and he got up when outside and had a beer and u spect me to believe that this people are going to do what his own son could not , I hate u all addicted people I hope u suffer all the way
