He inserted a fan through the floor and our wood stove heated the whole house in the winter. One year the gas company came by because they found it odd having $0 bill in Jan.

Cecelia, you and Christoffer are such good role models! I love that you both read books and make it a priority to get out in nature, often in very harsh conditions, and unplug! So many Americans practically NEVER pick up a book and they spend most of their time in climate controlled luxury rushing from one over-stimulating event to another! I sincerely wish more people could live a simpler and, hence, healthier life! Thank you! 👍👍

Enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing your most unusual life. Remembering what someone once said about my love of tent and cabin camping, “So you leave your comfortable air conditioned home to drive in your expensive vehicle to a remote place where you pay to pretend to be homeless?” “Yes! Yes I do!!!”

Nostalgic for me. When we came first time in 1998 we camped on the south side of Hornsund for a month near an even smaller cabin. I have photos taken from some 400m away of a very hungry young isbjorn trying to find a way in. I had to tell friends inside by firing a warning shot. Our communication was by the Norsk Polar Instituut netwok. Came again in March 2003 but travelled with two dog team sleds, camping each night.

I would love to visit Svalbard with my 4 year old daughter.. I was telling her about the length of days in some countries near to the north pole, shes very interested and finds it bizarre that places never see the sun for a few months, and then that it stays light for months. She said "mummy, how do they know when its bedtime?". The scenery, and the nature is just stunning.. Forget the Caribbean, if i was to win the lottery, Svalbard would have to be first on our bucket list... What a stunning place. Xx

Look up with a migraine at 5:00 in the morning. I do my usual treatments of shots in a few medicines. It's refreshing to watch this part of your channel where you're out in the nature of this beautiful Island. I want to thank you how to teach me to use that French coffee cooker also the hand grinder. I think I like to buy one.. sometimes I'm going to use less electricity.. Then I told a few people about your channel and I said I think I'm on the fancy machine that Cecilia has. I'm 59 years old and you young people are impressing on me of your tools and the cutest way.. I think I have a daughter your age in California cuz I live in Tennessee.. I just can't remember her exact age in the middle 30s it's funny how that happens I have six children. Lol I want to show my grandchildren the beautiful world that you and your husband live in. There's so much out there get through people like you we could see this world.. I don't know what kind of cameras you're using but I could see real well with my 57 inch television.. my first brand new one. I'm going to show my grandchildren are the best KZreadrs. You deserve an award from KZread and beyond that for your village.. So I'm going to re-watch how you made homemade coffee.. let me know what type of coffee beans do you prefer.. cuz I'm not sure if I'm going to like organic coffee beans or not. I tried to buy arabica organic I didn't like it at Costco.. my favorite is Colombian Starbucks. I'm supposed to get off coffee cuz I have migraines no I don't drink it everyday. I like coffee.. well maybe I like it a little bit more.. it's the way you prepare for it.. and it perks your mind up in the day.. to let you know I'm not sensitive to coffee like I used to be so I've been desensitized even though I've been off of coffee.. I used to never have coffee cuz it wouldn't have me bounce off walls.. until I got real ill then things change. Summary rewind this to make sure I got every step down. Your husband the waffles he made outdoor is amazing technique.. I love butter.. I think I need to get a large waffle maker like him. Use the same ingredients.. I like to use organic maple syrup. But never use sour cream in the other type of cheese you put? You said the cheese is a caramel but I don't think we have that here.. maybe y'all will have time for a little short cooking tips of your husband and you.. If you ever come to Tennessee I will help you out and try to show you the best places to go and what to avoid. They are beautiful cabins all around Tennessee some that are close to Chattanooga.. near the border of Georgia and Alabama.. we have beautiful nature here but it's the time of the year you want to come. It's wonderful that you shown US Portugal cuz man I would love to be in warm climate. But I enjoy watching your desert type of cold climate.. Thank you for how you edit your videos so I could see your steps that what you're doing.. God bless you both Anne Grimm...❤️🌹

Vermonter here…same here. When it’s 30 and above with sunshine? We go out to the mailbox in T shirts. Without wind, the sun really makes a huge difference in Springtime. Thanks for sharing, Cecelia. I am loving your shorter videos, as they are still packed w/ content, but timing-wise? It is easier to commit to watching one whilst having brunch. Hi to Christoffer and Grimm.
