@@davidw.patton9013 hello! I live in Michigan but will be moving soon to South Carolina where temps rarely drop below 40F! I do the ice cold tub dips for my brain a couple of times a week. Cold exposure is great for the brain but not necessary to live in it! lol!

She is SO Swedish - my mom and grandfather were similarly huge coffee drinkers. Sadly, I got my father's inability to drink more than one cup of coffee per day, but my husband who is 1/2 Swedish can definitely put it down the hatch!

Just putting together IKEA furniture has to be a true test of a relationship. And that all the pieces and bolts were all in the box is amazing. Kristofer is incredibly patient and so capable. Just love him to bits. The office looks bright and it is so inspirational to look out the windows to that view.

I don’t think it’s that hard! I make mine, as do my daughters, they’ve been helping since they were young and just make their own now. It’s pretty logical if you lay it out first in an orderly manner.

Ikea has a lot of nice things, but I do not like the instructions, it is only pictures and no words which is kind of frustrating at times.

Weather, Grim, Packages, Silliness, Reorganizing... add on lighting the wood stove and making coffee and I think I would try to jump through the screen. Thank you for sharing with us!! "If it feels good I do good things". That's a great quote My desk is a 1940s/1950s drop leaf bureau which I purchased in January 2012. It was great at first but for some reason I don't think it's working for me now. But I don't want to get rid of it because I love it so I'm trying to work around the situation/problem I have. I bought 2 folding 't.v. tables' that I put either side for additional working area and it's working out. I live in a small apartment so have to be very careful of what I bring in, which is a joke because I do sewing and arts and crafts and I'm over run with supplies. I blame my ADHD and lack of discipline. Your office/gym looks light, bright and airier. A job well done overseen by Quality Controller Grim.

It never fails.. it can be “warm” and no snow all frigging week until you have to go somewhere or do something and then it’s snowmageddon..

I worked for IKEA for a short bit and have to admit trying to say the names of the products was not the easiest thing to come off my lips, lol, but I loved putting in the effort to learn. One thing I did learn is, even though IKEA is one of the most cost effective and accessible furniture companies in the world, their stuff is also built to take a beating. I love their stuff. I furnished an entire apartment in IKEA furniture, and I still have some of the pieces to this day 6 years later. One day I’m going to learn Swedish just so I can pronounce those words, lol. Keep up the videos, I love watching your life in that frozen world of Svalbard, you’ve made me really enjoy the dark and winter like I never thought possible, so thank you very much for that.

❄️Cecilia and Christofer, watching you haul your house goods through the snow reminded me of my Minnesota grandmother who grew up in a sod house on the prairie and everything was hauled with horses and sleds. We love the snow in Minnesota! Ice fishing. Driving cars on the frozen lake ice. Winter festivals and Ice Palaces. So much to do. And I love how much you thrive in the wintertime, thank you for sharing ❄️💕❤️

That is exactly the desk setup I’ve had for the last 3 yrs - standing height desk with a tall stool, both adjustable. It’s the best of all worlds! Live that there’s a market for all to make use of things folks no longer need. ❤

I loved where you moved your desk! As someone that also recently reorganized my office, I was screaming internally that you should move it there because you would love being able to look out that window during the day! I have a similar setup and it makes a big difference in my day.

😂I have always been the same Cecilia. Changing everything, A-LOT!! We’ve had 3 different IKEA office furniture/layouts (and still I’m thinking 🤔. My poor suffering husband who always has to do the majority of the assembling 😲🤭 I LOVE LOVE what you’ve done and agree it looks much more ‘compartmentalised’ and definitely far more encouraging for work/exercise/storage balance!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 As a Mum of a 30 something daughter I kept saying (actually shouting 😳) out loud “Cecilia!!!! Put a coat on!!! Or you’ll catch your death of cold!!!!” As my Mum used to tell me!! We have an Ikea store about 15 mins drive away and I used to think that was too far, I’ll never ever moan again. Watching what you have to go through to buy new stuff on Svalbard!! 😔 Long suffering guys like Christoffer are worth their weight in gold as we say in the U.K.!! 🍦🍦🍦🍦😊🥰🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ PS you make me smile!!!

I love to go outside in the winter mornings, preferably in my bare feet. I love that crisp feeling of cold!

I cant imagine a more joyful morning than waking up early, going outside in the cold in my PJs, having a good coffee and resume building ikea furniture and rearrange/plan the rooms... so cosy and fun 😅❤

Been paying attention to your channel and life since I first found you. When I was starting out in social media (2001! = forums, not YT, and video) I had weights in my office.. I'm not laughing at you at all! I am laughing at my history now long ago.. Before I had 6 monitors and all the computer stuff today, outside of data center stuf. Sometimes you need a bit of work space between between your man / woman's workout space.. I / we've downsized over recent years where no kiddos care to visit us outside of the main holidays... ;). I WISH I could send you all sorts of stuff, but the shipping is crazy, of course.. I / we really enjoy watching your videos.. I am still very hopefully to meet all of you next time we are visiting family in Sweden.. Thank you for the smiles.. Hope to see you sooner than later!

It is really compleet normal to change things after living in a house for a while, sweetie!! And people change, so they want something different, also in their house. TBH, I enjoy seeing the changes very much!! WOW, that is quite expensive, to ship furniture to Svalbard!! Ikea should open a store there!!!!! A lot of people would be happy I think ;-) Some goods/things are difficult/clumsy to handle, aren't they Cecilia? Well you did not have to go to the gym/fitness that day, ROFL! This was a work out!!! I’ve put together different pieces from there and know how much work that takes! Your bookcase looks so good with the doors and drawers. You have a beautiful snow sculpture outside too. “…and it’s not that cold out, it’s only -2” WHAT?!? When it dips below 50 degrees here, Im freezing when I go out without a jacket. Although I love the snow there!! My favorite season is winter. But here in Washington state we don’t get much snow like we did when I was a kid. We, only get snow maybe once that stays when the sun comes up through the whole season. 😢 the rest of the season it’s usually just wet outside. Ps- I have always liked sleeping with my own blanket. My guy is like a raging heater so separate blankets is a must. Plus when he rolls over all the blankets go with him!
