The sad thing about Sephiroth's friendship was that it was basically a work based friendship. He valued them more than they valued him. To them they were friends but to Genesis and Angeal, he was a work friend, mainly being childhood friends with each other. To Genesis, Sephiroth is a goal to overcome. A rival. While Angeal was kinda a third wheel of sorts. Tagging along with Genesis being friends with Sephiroth by association. It was actually a pretty sad relationship for Sephiroth being betrayed by Genesis and abandoned by Angeal.

@@MomoPkmn95 Yeah. To Sephiroth they were his friends. To them, he was just a coworker and work buddy. He was beginning to form a sort of friendship with Zack but it was too late by then. Discovering what he truely is after losing both of his closest friends. Sephiroth's trauma is abandonment. Abandoned by Professor Gast, his only parental figure that was killed by Shrina. Abandoned by his friends. Sephiroth became mentally frail and vulnerable to Jenova's mind twisting influence. Becoming a sort of motherlike figure that will never abandon him, encouraging to get revenge on humanity.

I really feel Crisis Core is SUCH a huge piece of why I love FF7 so much.. it explains and give depth to so many characters. And the ending destroyed me so much. ❤

I see you have really enjoyed this prequel story about Zack! See the thing is he was so naive and so focused on becoming a hero he didn't know what SOLDIER truly was, they are pawns to be used by Shinra to help them rule and dominate the world with their damn Mako reactors. But then during that mission in Nibelheim he finally realized the truth. However when Shinra had marked Zack as killed in action they wanted to make sure it stayed that way, but now that's been changed if you recall from at the end of part one of FF7 Remake.

Great play game! I loved your edits, glad that new generations enjoy and love this game. Keep it up!

Oh also btw the goddess that you see at the end of the genesis fight is minerva, she's the superboss and the fight is in mission 9-6-6, and in the psp version she was actually in the top 5 hardest super bosses in ff, but that was only because navigating the menu to keep re using phoenix downs was really hard because you also had to watch her to see what she's doing at the same time, this version is kinda really easy though
