it has the largest roster of 56 playable characters possibly in entire offical video game history and its 3v3 instead of 2v2.

It's one of the best tag fighters of all time that no one could play outside of the dreamcast and the arcade, since it was never rereleased to modern systems TILL NOW MAHVEL IS BACK BABY

Not only is Marvel VS Capcom 2 the best game in the collection. That game had a history of bad ports prior to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and before this collection, the best way to get your hands on MVC2 was either shelling out $200 USD for a physical copy like the PS2 or Dreamcast version or you went to pay more for a PS3 or Xbox 360 since those versions of MVC2 were digital only and delisted for years. And the final reason why this is such a big deal is that people can finally not spend $600+ USD for an Arcade1UP machine that has Marvel VS Capcom 2

There are physical copies of the original marvel vs capcom and other games as well but those are like versions that have the tag team mechanic removed in MVC1 and the Marvel and X-Men vs street fighter games. I don't know if Children of the atom had anything removed for its original console versions and I am not sure if the punisher was ever released or console
