Jason, I realize you’re trying to stay interesting etc. but what made me subscribe years ago was you, the dogs, a crackling fire outside your F250, a nice simple hot meal, glass of whiskey, great scenery and eventually drone shots. It’s escapism for me, you’re doing something I can’t. I love my life and I don’t want yours but that is what made me keep coming back to watch. Do what you gotta do, your going to anyway 😊

Mr. Jason, I really liked it when you went out and took pictures of wildlife. I think it was mountain sheep that you got very close to and took some amazing pictures. I like it when you explore new areas. You do a great job in what you show on you tube. Thank you and God Bless.
Jason, the first two minutes of this video are exactly what I love. I could watch hours of that, but then I watch all your videos. You’re an amazing cinematographer. Thanks for what you do!
Your editing and soundtrack in the opening sequence was amazing
Everything you do is Content..Keep up the awesome work Jason!
Love the music at the beginning
Jason, I don’t generally comment but wanted to say what made me subscribe years ago. Maybe it will help you along your journey. But I came across your channel in some of my darkest days. Your photography, music, and story telling me made me feel better. Like there was something better ahead. This was circa 2019. Keep it up big dawg, you the man!
Oregon is awesome! My trip on Highway 101, all along the coast to Astoria and eventually into Washington, was spectacular. Jason features Oregon eastward which is equally amazing.
Jason, you do such a good job at documenting and your visual storytelling is amazing keep the faith brother
I really liked your videos about photography, its one of the reasons I started watching the channel.
I’d like to see more of your fire making techniques! I’m always intrigued watching you build a roaring fire! Some of my other favorites you do are your cooking outside the van maybe just some good camp cooking episodes would be cool. I enjoyed the fishing ones a lot as well being a fisherman my self those were always great to watch. I watch you and Donald weekly and love every video you make but my favorite of all time was one of the first I saw when you were still in the trailer. Had some awesome snow shots you got a big fire going the pups were on the bed in the trailer and you had made a nice meal and just enjoyed the snow coming down that video actually made me go out and snow camp for the first time im now a regular snow camp kind of guy! Thanks for all your time and effort of putting these videos out Jason they are all appreciated
Jason, your videos are amazing. The cinematics are great. For me they are an escape and more when they are videos of only sounds.
I like seeing what you’re up to. Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to your next van camping episode. Thank you Jason
So always great traveling around Central Oregon and there’s Sasquatch like this Sunday morning out in Sunriver. Have a good one buddy.
When ever you feel like posting i'm always watching it's my escape from my chair so keep them coming no matter when or when
You make it! We will watch it!
I think you're doing great in any video content...keep up the good work.
Campfire chats, in a podcast interview format, with fellow outdoorsmen are interesting to someone like myself. I value varying insights, experience and stories, that i can take nuggets of wisdom from and find inspiration for myself as well. Thank you for providing the ongoing premium content thus far. Enjoy the outdoors and keep chasing that horizon.
I actually like your early videos when you just went camping in a peaceful place
Talk about your battery system. Solar, inverter,dc to dc etc. thanks Jason always awesome 💪🏻👊🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🙏🏻
You and Donald do a great crossover of content and the teasing is fun. Donald just filmed the two of you thinning junipers. That needs people who know what they are doing, but that was great information learning what is done to look after our wild lands. They are actively managed. I don't know if that is hard to get permission to film but I find it interesting.
You are doing nicely. ...
Love your videos. Always amazing and creative.
stay true to your yourself and the content. You inspire me t oget out and get into Overlanding and no looking back now. Just keep doing the outdoor and overlanding and camping.
Come to the Great Plains, my Brother!
Love the update brother, great idea....
Sometimes it’s just hard to be creative; we get it.
You're doing a great job . 👏
We appreciate you man!
Hi Jason for me it’s a mixture of the photography and the overlanding. I would love do you to tell us more on how you capture your superb Drone shots, the smoothness and the close quarter shots that you take.
Mate. Love your channel. One thing that dawned on me only recently and has helped my small channel just starting to grow. Is coming to the realisation that my interests are mine alone., I've grown up with these particular skills n values. but just because I am used to doing things a particular way that this just may be a new experience for others watching my videos. And you Jason believe it or not taught me this. Absolutely love how you share and just be yourself in your vids. I honestly think one of the best channels on KZread because you are real. love your channels. cheers Gizmo.
👍🏻💚 Instructional videos; how do you navigate, plan trips, do research etc.
Your just doing great , you are more interesting then you think ! I love the nature and that is what you show us . Keep it up ! And maybe come to explore here in the great Canada. Cheers Jurgen
Brother I enjoy all your content to camping and environmental cleanup, would love to see one of your big game hunts would be awesome, keep up the good work👍
We love your videos! Maybe a topic idea for a video could be about when out hiking, staying safe and all the safety gear you bring in your backpack. (In reach, first aid ect.)
Jason, do more firewood/craft camping, overlanding tutorials… (best practices, methods etc)
Every time I see a primal outdoors new video I always click to watch. I’ve been watching for probably 3 years or so. Every video doesn’t need to be some epic overlanding adventure. Those are fun but your channel is very chill. Everyday tasks, photography, builds are all interesting. Your videos of helping BLM with projects were awesome. Maybe incorporate some fishing like you have done in the past. Anyway just keep doing what you’re doing. The content is authentic and that’s one of the reasons I follow. Also the collaboration videos with Donald or Krokum outdoors are always enjoyable.
The cinematograph, drone and just generally camera work plus, the simple forest camping scenes, cooking, fire, dogs, whiskey....I found it just relaxing I also like the upgrade videos and others.
All of your Vids, are just so wonderful. Thank you Jason! And thank you Iceco, for pushing Jason to drop yet another one! ❤❤
I look forward to videos of daily life outside. I'm sure most are subscribed for that. Cheers
I miss Daisy and Wheeler. I always enjoy your videos. Take care.
Always enjoy your content. Thanks for sharing and all the work it takes. (Maybe small wood could pitch in??) lol.
I agree with @poaking6346! You do you... I have a van and love watching you enjoy yours and the outdoors. Thanks for all the hard work Jason.
Jason, I have been following you for about two years now and I have learned so much from you about what to do with my van. I would like to see you explore California sometime and create your awesome videos down here. Maybe just get out of Oregon to some national parks to show what it takes to not only get to some of these places but also what you experience there.
I think you're doing a great job. I enjoy your videos.🇺🇸🇺🇸🪓🪵🔥🥃🥃🥃🥃
This time of year it can be difficult to be inspired. But the start of this video I found inspiring just showing the beauty of nature. For blog style ideas use your strengths and talk about photo and video techniques. How to frame shots and how you lead the viewers eyes to main subject. What filters you might be using. You could go into the editing process a little and the tools you use.
you can do a video on all the different tent or sleeping set ups youve tried over the years
Cleaning the wood stove process and favorite overlsndng handtools
It's a good thing a rang the bell Jason. Even though I watch. Every single video, YT decided I didn't need to see this one. Push notifications for the win. 😎👍
I always just try and make videos that I would watch. Thanks for the vid.
Loved the opening, the great outdoors. For me, just watching all the beauty of nature is nice. Sometimes just having some nice background music, watching you by the fire and enjoying a drink or fishing, etc, is all we need. I do enjoy seeing that van and hearing what you have done to it. All good.
I enjoy what ever you put out. Not helpful but there it is. Strangely you already sold me an iceco fridge. I've been looking and needing a new one for my teardrop. I've noticed you used the iceco and I trust your research and field use on brands. That helped me decide on an iceco go20. It's sitting here waiting to launch back to the pnw in April. I'm so excited to use it. The outside is beautiful. The soft close lid is magic and the size is perfect for one person camping. I can also run it off the 500w battery off grid. You also influenced me on the scottel. I loved that and created my own mini scottel system from parts ferrited out of internet shopping. AND you have a hefty beauty of a chopping knife I've seen you cook with a lot. I've added something similar to my camp cooking gear. I owe you a couple beers. 😊 coming soon. Thanks Jason! See ya Outside!
Please just keep doing what you’re doing. The outdoor content, van camping, etc is excellent. It’s always appreciated on these long shifts. It can be a bit depressing, especially on a long 72 hours like this one. I have been mentioning you on other channels. I mention you more. 😁👍

Hey, kinda off topic, but do you hunt with that wood bow? I’ve been goin kinda backwards with archery. I haven’t picked up my compound bow in a few years, but I’ve been messing with a horse bow. Thinking of upgrading to a 55lb Korean horse bow this summer. Anyway, just keep on with the van camping. We’re all pretty much here for that.
You should have just made this video about van life refrigeration. Show your setup in a bit more detail with power usage etc. would have tied in nicely with the sponsor
It be cool!!!
I can see how you don't want your vids to be all the same-ish. But, Overlanding and camping, no matter the conveyance, IS basically the same anyway. The diff is the various places you go TO camp. Thats why we watch your content. My first introduction to you was the Ford 7.3 4x4 pulling the little orange trailer where you camped in a place you knew well. I truly miss the dogs, but life changes daily, sometimes for the good and then for the not so good. When Daisy left to go to a place to pass on, I cried too. Been there done that. Remember, you are never camping alone, you take us all with you. I file away all the equipment info you put out and the places you go to for future recall. You are blessed to be able to do this and make some money along he way to keep you going. Yes you may feel you are doing the same ole same ole, but would you rather do that from inside a cubicle somewhere in and office? I might like to see you go to a location where you can stay for a week or so and sustain yourself by fishing and foraging to an extent. You are practicing survival a little everyday. The majority of this country would be hard pressed to do that. Pass along all the skills you have in every vid and keep on truckin brother. JT.
Don't you just love it when your "friends" FILM while dangerous things are happening to you?? Like trees falling on you!!🤣
While I have a good 4WD and love to camp, my favorite way to get into the back country is flying. I've always wanted to do an overland / fly-in meetup video. Maybe at the Alvord, Ochoco, or some other back country airstrip in Oregon. I could recruit a few backcountry pilots to join in. Get Donald to join us... I know it's nit exactly what you were looking for, but since you asked. :-)
Hey Jason, Can we do an updated video on vehicle charging system (Alternato) & DC to DC chareges?
I'd like to see a video on the logistics and planning for your longer overland adventures, for instance your Bend to Alvord Desert route. How many miles per day are reasonable? Gas mileage and location of fuel stations. Spare parts to carry. Stuff like that.
The way to inspiration is through eyes of a person who doesn't fix themselves on admiration of any one thing😊
there's "informative content" then there's film making and photography which are art. you do both ...so when you find yourself at that fork in the path - take it 😊 cheers brother - the muse will reappear
You could always share some of your editing workflow. Everyone does it a little different and people could always use some ideas, tips and tricks.
I find riding my One Wheel is great for clearing the mind and finding inspiration hahaha....Hi Jason! Thanks for sharing!
Do a tour of your van and the different setups like wood stove and passenger seat and different awnings you might use or how you use the van in different applications. Van tour
While content is important, I like everything from shop videos to running with Donald to time in the mountains. Probably most of us watch be cause we think you’re a stand up guy!
Trail recon does a coffee one take and I love em you could talk about pros and cons of van life I would like to learn more of how you do photography and camp cooking the list goes on and on knowledge you have learned from when you started
Jason, I enjoy your content as it is and always look out for your new videos. There’s more variety there than you may be giving yourself credit! However, I’d be curious about how you research where to go. I have a self built square drop and live in Colorado. I’m keen to get off the beaten path, but could use some pointers on how best to research for good spots etc. Thanks!
Have you considered doing sections of the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route? Or the Washington or Idaho routes? That would be great to see
Good afternoon Jason... Adventure is everything for people wanting to get away from the rat race something that only a few of us get to do. I think for alot of us, that is what attracted us to your channel. If your looking for new ideas to be inspired, new places to camp out of state might be the answer your looking for. Every day is an adventure but what really makes it unique to your veiwers especially for me is the trip their and then finally getting to your destination, the scenary, the logging road you went on or the trails you discovered to get to that pristine camping spot. Your already a great story teller and editor. Now you just have to venture farther than you have before. Maybe getting some big sponsers involved if that's possible. There has to be a way to do it because other you tubers are donig with ease. The question is, how are they doing it, and who are their sponsors or are they rich 🤑 or something. But either way i think the possibilities are endless. Good hunting on your next big adventure Jason.😊
When I hit the road next summer in my RV van, all I want to do is just enjoy the outdoors for the rest of my life and no more jobs of any kind for me. Many of my friends tell me to do a KZread channel, but that's not why I am choosing this life, and the money does not matter anymore to me or I would still be living in a house. Good luck, and have fun, because when it becomes a job the fun ends.
I’ve been using an ICECO as well. Great units for the money. Now here’s one thing I have always wondered. We see you guys cooking on fires with pans and pots etc. But we never see how you take care of cookware and clean. I keep imagining a pan or pot covered in black soot that would make a mess of simply stuffed into a bag or cabinet. How to you deal with cleaning and storage after cooking on an open fire?
Jason, I love any video you put out. Your Photography is stunning. Have you thought about running the Oregon Trail. I know that is a lot of miles, and would take days to run, but you could give the history, then, and now of the trail. Take a buddy with you to run the trail. Maybe on the way to the starting point, run a few trails and look up the history of the area to add more content. Utah and Colorado have some very nice trails with a ton of history to them. I'm just giving suggestions, if it doesn't appeal to you, I understand. I'm a history nerd.
Im with others, I like the videos where you venture out into the wilderness, chop some wood, make a fire and cook dinner. How to, fix it videos are not my thing. If you're really looking for other ideas, maybe a series where you interview other people about their camping/overlanding setups?
I enjoy learning about the history of places. Stories about a place and the people who lived and worked there (natives, pioneers, miners, loggers, explorers, trappers, etc.). Why is the Three Sisters named that and what are the native people’s name for them? Geology is interesting. So are the different animal species that live in an area. Plant species are interesting too and are in many ways different from one side of the mountains to the other.
People that dont know the Peace you find out in the woods or forest you never know what peace is
would be cool to see some behind the scenes stuff on your photography and videography skills. great content as always. I appreciate your efforts
Interested in learning more about your front solar panel, imagine it gets rekt by bugs, you have to clean it often? Everyone with a high roof has that space and I’m guessing most vans aren’t using that space for solar. Would like to do that myself!
I want to see your EDC and what you carry
You might’ve mentioned why you don’t do this, but I think it’d be interesting to hear about hunting experiences and see footage around that and/or how to videos around hunting or harvesting.
I can understand your dilemma, but I agree with those who are in the 9 - 5 grind, living in tireless urban environments who are watching to live life vicariously through your videos. We love your adventure videos because they are an escape to our reality haha! To answer your question, have you thought about doing some mini series to other states? I don't know if your personal life can handle the time, but taking several weeks to go to Alaska, a series on Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, etc. Maybe even venturing to Maine or something. People tune into this type of video content when you create anticipation for the next video. I get that this takes time and effort logistically and creatively, but man I think you could create some cool content and drum up some new viewers along the way. Either way, love your channel.. I've been watching since you bought your first RTT! Keep it up whatever you end up doing!

A Alaska trip is what I was thinking 😊 Dennis from Delaware U.S.A
Jason a while back your drawer design was unique. Rather than use locking latches you split a pair of locking slides and used one side to lock the drawer in place. Wondering how that is working for you? Do the drawers stay closed while on the trail?
Jason, you seem to have your finger on the pulse of what most here like to see. Can you please everyone? No. But what you’re doing is inspiring most everyone who have subscribed to your channels. As an office worker working 7 to 4 I do have a rather large window to look out of. The thing is, it’s not too inspiring but looking out “your window” is. Thanks for doing what you’re doing and we all can appreciate your ethic and will to not just roll out videos just to suit the algorithms. We’re well aware they take time and effort and speaking for myself and others I’m sure it’s much appreciated! Oh, and I mentioned to my bride that Jason allows how an Iceco fridge would make a great valentines gift and the look she gave me was “chilling” 😂
I like your channel because it's real... Your content mostly your videography is beautiful, your play with light, dark, movement, and nature in an awesome way. Most of your actions and appearance is raw, messy hair, dirty clothes, lived in van, all great to me ! True video headers, no fake drama, no gimmicks, no bad music to cover up weak content... If your video's are 60-75% great filming with little or very tasteful music and the rest single or multiple points of information I'm still hooked ! Expound on where you are in general, tell me why you are there, give me a specific fact about the area, touch on one feature of your van and I'm in hook, line, and sinker !!!
I think you should make a video of you making the long arduous journey to the barber shop. Just saying. Best wishes to your family.

✂️You are my family Todd😂
Howdy Jason, I love the idea. I would be interested in learning more from you about having a prepared van for everyday possible troubles and SHTF situations. I think it would also be cool hearing you talk about and narrate some excerpts from books that inspire your lifestyle, travels and adventures. By the way, idk if this has been asked before but I would love to know the brand and name of the high boots you often wear while on the road and hiking. Cheers and many thanks mate
Jason, perhaps consider what video subjects you did when the channel was young. Collaborations with Casey Kaiser, Donnie, and Todd Stone. I will be meeting up with Todd in a Month. It would be nice to meet you as well, whilst I'm up in Oregon. Feel free to reach out to Todd to confirm our meeting. Cheers, Mate.
Love all you do!!! Need a new dog to share yore lives together
I liked the way your music selection combined with the video at the beginning of this episode. Keep these compositions short maybe 10 to 15 minutes long. After a brief introduction just let the music and images do your talking.
Time to bust out the sewing machine, make a new bushcraft rig and take that knife of yours out for a rip again!
Your electrical system in your van thanks.
The effects of inflation on VanLife. How much would it cost now do this lifestyle. I know there are a lot of variables, but just some guidelines. Also, your videos absolutely inspire many of us. I never get tired of your content. I understand that it may not be as inspiring to create videos that share characteristics but, many in your audience love them. It's why we're here!
Jason, I don't know what you have coming up in the spring, but maybe you and that Granola eater Donald could do something like overland the Oregon Trail? Western American history is a pretty cool thing. Just an Idea. Thanks.
QQQ is it possible to do a follow-up review video on your Propex heater?
Hi, I’d really like to hear about how you edit videos. They are great. I do some for my 4wd club and would like to improve. Cheers
👍
Love your videos my friend, you have answered some of my questions before, l was wondering what type of editing program do you use for your Channel??? Thanks!!!!!!!
Always enjoy your videos. Some are educational. Some are adventurous. Some are art. In truth, it's that diversity that I enjoy. Still, the thing I enjoy most about your work is analyzing how you put it together. I'm seldom disappointed. I respect the effort you put into what you do and the realism that you inject. Please take whatever time you need to find your muse. Once you're ready to post, like so many others, I'll be here to watch. Thank you.
Camping , fires , food whisky and scenery . That’s what people came for . It works don’t try to be too fancy or get away from your roots bro
