I have been a drummer for over 40 years, most of it very technical work. I absolutely love this movement in The Four Seasons because of how technically demanding it is to keep up on the rhythm. I’ve seen it played it Venice a few times (home of Vivaldi!) in the original string quartet format. This guy played the most exacting rhythmic performance I have heard. Utterly breathtaking!

Now that I think of it props to them both for their showmanship being able to perform together on the spot. I almost cried. This was beautiful. Ray Chen is incredible, however I want to compliment you as a great pianist, who was able to adjust and keep the rhythm and tempo so well. Playing music together is the best joy in the world, which makes other people happy too. I dedicated my childhood and young years to piano and choir, don’t do it for a while but your videos make me happily cry. God bless you , my respect and admiration ❤❤❤

He really loves what he is doing, giving the world a piece of Heaven's classical (and sometimes popular) music for those of us who will never get to the concert halls, to see and listen to the greats play pieces that are so heart-stopping. Keep it up, Ray Chen!!!❤😊🎉😅❤

I mean tbh the deceptive nature of the video makes it pretty impossible to enjoy for me I thought lying was supposed to be a bad thing but I guess nobody cares anymore It's not even necessary, too, simply saying "I played with ray Chen in public" is amazing enough do you REALLY have to lie on top of that? It's kind of ridiculous honestly. Maybe he's just a compulsive liar.

Life is full of surprises. It was great fun to have this sequence in my FB/YT feed - I don't know how many times I've listened to you two and I and probably many with me will be very happy if you get a chance to record more episodes like this. Ray has long been a favorite of mine; wonderful musician and an incredible joy to play, Always with a smile. I have also seen other features where he is so kind and friendly to the children he meets. On occasions like this, the true and spontaneous joy of playing comes to the fore. No wonder Ray is so popular. This is different from tedious violin concertos and tiresome violin sonatas. Now, by the way, I've got another favorite, this time a pianist! Guess Who? 😀. If anyone wants to listen to Ray, my tip is to listen to his performance of one of my favorites; Wieniawski's violin concerto. The end of the concert is fantastic! The elderly lady in the audience must have had a shock… Here it is... kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKhhs9mrgpC2mto.html
