Awesome video you cranking these games like its nothing! It would be cool if you added a shielding effect when shot to show if you get hit and also it was one of my favorite graphics from the halo series/world.

Not really, though metroid is an NES platformer shooter, it just never crossed my mind lol

Its been about a year since I made this. But how i'd do it now(which is likely how I did it then), I would have a controller object that spawns in the grunts, each grunt would be tethered to that object. Once that object detects that all of the grunts have been destroyed/killed, it will then allow you to proceed. As far as the camera, that same controller object will not allow the camera to move past a certain point until those sequences have occurred. Those sequences being the grunts spawning and them dying.
