I've been doing these game jams for awhile now. Ludum Dare 50 is here and of course I had to join, and in this devlog I will talk about the process of creating the game but also rant about my frustrations with game jams and my struggles with developing in Godot vs Unity.

WOW, You have improved so much! Good job on overcoming these challenges.
I feel exactly the same way about godot's 3D documentation. I'm currently working on my very first game and it happends to be a 3D exploring game. Whenever I stumble into a problem and try to figure it out by searching online, information given is super limited.

You can always add to the docs when you find something missing, thats how open source improves
maybe the gears need more polygons 😳

@@LazyAlarm perhaps… really enjoyed the devlog man! keep it up!
This is a great little game! The concept is really interesting, really brings the sense of urgency and evokes the player's skill to keep the playing session active. Your interpretation of the theme was on point. This is a real inspiration for me since I seek to learn game development and love pinball games. I hope I can make one time killer like this someday! Congrats!
Awesome video and incredible game!! I definitely also recognise the feeling you described in the end (and made a little video about it), but great job on quickly overcoming that feeling and coming out stronger!!! Great job man!
These videos are always instant hits for me. The editing style and all. Holy! Thank you for your content. Might just have to start game deving again. Keep up the grind, my friend.

Any chance for a community discord?
Making a movie and a game? You crazy 😂 And this is awesome!
6:08 as a begginer programmer. I can confirm this, I work more faster in unity with the tutorials but I'm trying to learn Godot xD
I think it's pretty good for a quick prototype, especially considering the hurdles of tech issues & lack of information. I'm a long time pinball junkie, haha! Oh, and not that it matters terribly, but it's pronounced "Dar-A", it's Latin. Ludum Dare means "game to give" - the more you know & all, lol. Have fun & keep up the great work!
When you create a project it asks which render engine to use and hints (gles 3 pretty, gles 2 for web)
Forget the game, your video creation skills are awesome!
Honestly, the "broken" version appeals better to me. I think it even fits better for the theme because it looks so ominous.
ill be honest i have no idea what the problem with the prompt is, seemed broad enough for me
I don’t think they meant delaying the inevitability of needing to code your game XD
For one day that's a decent game fr
Me thinks of thanos
My first score is 697 😂
