7:25 one of the best advices here. “Ideas make you lazy, you need goals”.

How many did he havd back then?
this game was really fun to play! i did the cave section and tree section first try, thats how much i like the controls
4:50 - git is your friend :) i know, git is scary. its like being an introvert meeting this annoying extrovert and you just want your peace. But once you found a working setup you'll become best friends :)
i love that u used the music from the honeyhive planet lol
I love your artstyle so much!
Really cool how you made it mario galaxy styled! Looks fantastic!
wow this was a really great devlog! a super cool game too i’d love to see you work on more projects like this keep up the amazing work 😁
i recommend creating level block outs before modeling to make the process easier on yourself, it helps with saving time and keeping focus on the goal at hand

I don't understand English very much, but I seem to kind of understand what you mean Do you know any video that talks about the topic or mentioned some information visually? (This will really help me because I suffer a little with time)
This has convinced me I need to get my coding back on, I've been slacking off for months. You have my genuine thanks!
you should addon to this game, well i guess you could say that for all of your game jam games. but uh it looks fun and i would really like to see it continued
Really entertaining devlog, enjoyed this a lot, thank you!
This game looks like a lot of fun! Excellent ending with the B pun haha
Lol love the will you snail reference. Dope looking jam game! Congrats on finishing and learning a bunch :)
This channel needs to be bigger, I'm very impressed with the quality and it's very inspirational, makes me actually want to go back and improve in godot.
awesome dev log thanks so much for sharing your work! I really want to make a 3d platformer game similar to this im new to godot so it's nice to see it's possible in the engine
Great devlog, keep up the great work.
OMG that lotus flower you made is so beautiful.
For 3 weeks, it looks great and (somehow) polished. Well done!!!!
Severely underrated, thoroughly enjoyed this video!
3:40 the best way to solve this issue is, let someone else beta test your game, someone who never touched it before so you can be sure that the gameplay is fine, that the reason why you are good at it is because its polished, not because you trained a lot
love the video, love the editing, love the game
Really like how the game looks!
this was an awesome video dude! keep it up
You are quickly becoming my favorite Game dev youtuber. Great video.
always make backups < use git
Awesome work. This video is very well done as well. Got curious: the "fake shadow" below the character is some sort of 3D circle sprite being cast to the ground? Got a really interesting effect and all the collect-a-thon vibes.

That’s pretty much how it works to my understanding. If I’m being honestly I just copy and pasted the shader code from the site. It creates a sprite where meshes intersect. I also use a raycast to keep in on the ground and that’s about it.
the “You Win!” and boogey bee up the hill in the back was what got me XD
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
Gettin vibes from being a bee in the seasons level of banjo and kazooie. I love it lol.
when you think of spring, you think of spring when i think of spring, i thhink of a spring we are not the same

The spring powerup could be another fun mechanic to recreate.
Congratulations on completing it, I'm going to play it! Question: How do you deal with Godot's inconsistency when making changes to 3D models and animations?
9:58 Web GL? ✅Windows? ✅Mac.... no? OK, screw Mac 🤣🤣
Don't know if you know this now, but to make those caves playable, lighting the area to give better depth and to hide the fact that everything is the same texture would go really far, like the cave area in half life, honestly lighting is what really makes a game look good and timeless, not textures💜
I'll be honest, I thought the mustache was a smile the whole time
My favourite game in the entire world is SMG2. The bee level is my favourite level. This is v nostalgic well done :)
A tad disappointed you didn’t include the clip of you fixing the power. No matter, video good!
3 minutes before the deadline! You're brave, I'd be sweating bullets
Thank you for reviewing my game ( im gomas btw )
The example of getting too good at the controls and the game was mentioned by Mark Cerny in his Marble Madness postmortem. Other people working with him complained he tuned the game too high.
the ladybug is my favourite :3
What is backups? Ive been working on my game now for 3 months almost. Fingers crossed my laptop is healthy!
If this game doesn't have Jazz music well, that would be a crime against humanity.
How did you make the ground shadow with DecalCo?
Quick question how do you get the code for flying
I submitted my game wrong and only realized after the submissions closed

@@LazyAlarm I enjoy all your stock images, and the story you tell. It's a great format and adds some comedy compared to other game devlog channels
buckle up? more like bumble up
good vid bro
bro you're so underrated
i suggest you to try Trello, it is pretty useful for thinking what you need to do
Dude.. use version control.. ESPECIALLY for projects you're making alone, you have the only copy. And correcting mistakes becomes trivial if you commit every time you make a meaningful change.
NO WAY miziziziz MENTIONED

The jam had an optional colour palette so I used that, but turned off mipmaps and shading so the game screen would literally only display those colours.

Nah, they have it now. Didn’t feel like reading the error, it was just asking me to put a link to a website in the “identifier” section.
