LYRICS
Yeah the evil is way too deep
The murderers lose no sleep
Supreme Court no sour cream
All I'm vetoing all your shit
Ignoring those deep state bitch
There's only one party this
Hey this time we're gonna be all right
I won't mess it up
Hey this time it's gonna be real nice
Nice for everyone
I'm the president yeah
You all voted here I am
I'm the president I love you
Who's the president me
Landslide fucking victory
I'm the president I love you
Yeah Mount Rushymore has some tits
I heard you been talking shit
Let's see where that airstrike hits
Still, still learning these nukey codes
Ignoring those deep state chodes
My TR-3B flies low
Hey this time we're gonna be all right
I won't mess it up
Hey this time it's gonna be real nice
Orange you glad I won?
I'm the president yeah
You all voted here I am
I'm the president I love you
Who's the president me
Landslide fucking victory
I'm the president I love you
I'm the president yeah
You all voted here I am
I'm the president I love you
Who's the president me
Landslide fucking Genevieve
I'm the president I love you

@@LeonDerczynski Right? Any sane drummer with stakes that high... that many performers on the line... would have slapped on a double pedal and been done with it. No one would have noticed the difference. But Louis Cole is no sane drummer. He throws in an insanely difficult kick fill that sticks out like a sore thumb when no other instrument is playing. That takes balls of steel and insane chops. I don't think 99% of people realize the madness of what he's doing there. As huster3of4 says... it's just insanity.

Louis Cole is the conductor of an orchestra, but instead waving a wand he fucking holds it down on drums and maintains the backbone of the tightest pocket I have ever heard. I have so much respect for the musicians involved in this masterpiece.
I love how the lyrics sound like something a little kid would sing to themselves. It's simple but deadly-infectious and enveloped in a rich layer of art-funk. This is the kind of music you never knew you wanted until you heard it.

I don't know music theory, but maybe this unique harmony and recognizable sound somehow has to do with this. Don't know why but still not tired to listening them again and again. Looking forward for the new album!

@Michael Lochlann Surely he knows now, cause that all makes sense to the layman, right? (but yeah you're right)

@Michael Lochlann By combining modern jazz with pop they do such a good thing to promote such music to a wider auditory. I was really satisfied to hear that Let It Happen was nominated for Grammy. That was the same joy for me as when Thundercat won his Grammy on It Is What It Is.

This one shares a lot of similarity to 'Don't Care', sounds, basslines, textures etc. Particularly the verse at 1:40. Very intentional. Also the little horn riff at 2:33 is exactly the same as the one in 'When You're Ugly'. Louis tends to re-use little licks, chord patterns and note choices across many of this songs to create his distinctive sound.
homie jazz'd hard af on that solo 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
3:32 am I wrong, or I just saw thirty-second notes on a kick with a single pedal and a single foot. these guys are totally crazy
I love that TR3B reference. I remember being obsessed with it as a kid and wondering if it was a government aircraft or not. My friends and family were always annoyed by my ramblings. This is the kind of shit that makes me feel less alone. Thanks knower!
Knower makes me take a dust of my guitars and start playing again, what a amazing band, such a talent group of young ppl prove that always be a wonderful band
Well that settles it, I know who I"M voting for this year.
the editing on this feels like someone giving the warmest possible hug to my adhd brain
Loved when the pianist decided to turn his shirt around when he went for the solo.
Saw these dudes live like 3 years ago, and they freaked rocked! This is one of their most catchy songs, I swear. And the piano solo is absolute bliss!
This is the best album I've heard in a long time and its been on repeat for the last couple of days! I love this sound so much.
The random automation on the vocals just totally overloading them caught me off guard and killed me. I absolutely love the video editing style.
I had no idea where this was going. I came here to check it out because I saw a smart little video elsewhere about Bandcamp. Heard the bass intro and thought 'hm…this is cool' and then the brass comes in …HOHO! Absolutely outstanding..
I can't watch your videos and not have the biggest goddamn smile on my face. So much creativity, talent and utter silliness, I just find you guys a joy to follow.
The bass player steals the show with his energy!!
WHO ARE YOU? Spotify recommended you to me and now you're stuck in my head for the last two days!!!
That piano solo is BANANAS 🍌🍌🍌 always great to have more Knower, thanks Louis, Genevieve and the 500 other people in the band ❤
Back again for another listen. Hey just realised something... As Paul Cornish rushes off to start his solo on the piano, and on the way back, he also flips his shirt over. Pure talent there.
What the hell is this...I like it! People got together to make real music on real instruments. Very Entertaining
KNOWER AND LOUIS COLE are the best music discoveries of the last time for me! thanks a lot for that and I'm looking forward to new stuff ;-) keep it up
So cool seeing so many people gather together to work harmoniously on one tune. Love it!
its actually insane how much the bass carries this song rhtymically. louis was like...sam, just play my part, thanks. groovy.
the editing choices in this video are insane and i love it
Best video of 2023 hands down. The little easter eggs hidden throughout are next level!
just came home from an overnight shift, had a couple KNOWER bangers on the playlist, and im greeted when i get home by brand new dope grooves. what a time to be alive.
Probably one of the best music videos ever made
I LOVE this song. The groove is in my head constantly and I'm forever leaning in to people and asking, "who's the President?" So fun, groovy and with that taste of rebellion I love. Just keep it coming, all I ask.
This just made me smile. So great to see true musicians doing their own thing that cannot be put into any box or category other than Knower!
I’m so happy to see that you’re back ! I discovered like a year ago thinking I might not see new songs from you guys, so I’m so excited right now ^^

you may have already checked them out but Louis Cole's solo albums have the same vibe, they're great
Never heard this band before. Very cool! Looking forward to hearing more!
I'm stilling catching little details in the video after weeks of replaying. Cornish turning his shirt around so it's always facing the camera is just *chef's kiss*
At last, I need more KNOWER in my life!!!
