@@HiMom1311 Alto saxophone takes less air to play than you might think it would when you have a setup that you're comfortable with and a good reed, especially at quiet volumes. Plus, wind players have a lot of endurance and lung capacity built up over years spent mostly exhaling with tiny little inhales here and there. If you're playing softly you can actually run into the issue of all of the air in your lungs being turned into carbon dioxide before you can even expend your lung capacity.

Club1n I honestly can’t believe how original, funky, jazzy and interesting this band is. No sign of pretention. No “over your head” Jazz tangents that you pretend to understand. They still manage to write choruses and verses to make it accessible yet it’s some of the coolest music I’ve heard in my life. It’s like the band I’ve always dreamt up in my head. I can’t get enough of these guys.

I saw them, last night, in Philly. I'm a fan of everything from RUSH, to the Bill Evans trio (and all in between). I came across KNOWER after reading a DIRTY LOOPS article, and have, since, NOT been able to stop listening to this band. Seeing them last night exceeded any expectations I could have had of a Live performance. They work amazingly well together, and are ALL monster musicians. Their sense of timing, chord structures, song writing, and improvisation skill are a breath of fresh air. They were, also, extremely grateful to the crowd, and took the time to meet people afterwords. I'd see them, again, in a heartbeat. Do not miss them if they come to your area.

3:09 I love this bit so much, if you really follow the solo you can't help but start fidgeting in the way Ray does, it's such a relatable thing that is happening here with him and I love that Louis is aware of this too via the editing.

TIME TRAVELER LYRICS [Verse 1] Yeah I told ya I couldn't wait to see ya But the truth uh I got some kinda amnesia You crept up on me Said you thought of me fondly And finally since we let go You're ready to say hello [Pre-Chorus] What did you hope to see Coming to this place Said you'd never call up Now you're all up In my face In my face In my face In my face [Chorus] You're like a Time traveler You like to Go backwards You're like a Time traveler Running from The future Time Traveller! Time Traveller! [Verse 1] This area You made restricted Off limits Thought I would miss it Before I ditched it Dismissed it Yeah I was timely Put our fallout behind me And after three years of living You're asking to go back in [Pre-Chorus] What did you hope to see Coming back to me Are you satisfied now Could you die now Happily [x7] Happi- [Chorus] You're like a Time traveler You like to Go backwards You're like a Time traveler Running from The future Running from The future Time Traveller!

Having discovered Knower & the sheer genius that is Louis Cole only a year ago, its amazing how many times I have listened to this particular track and hunted down every morsel of their works on youtube like a truffle loving pig based on the merits of it. But this track is unique for me as this live performance surpasses every other available recording of it anywhere. Every person performing rocks beyond belief and I thank all the higher powers for allowing us mere mortals to be a fly on the wall spectator to this brilliant composition. Thank you thank you.
