Someone said "it's very collegey" and i could not agree more and I mean that in the utmost highest regard. it's just pure unadulterated unfiltered talent that no studio or label could hope to recapture. it's the essence of musicality for music's sake. louis cole and genevieve artadi are national treasures and knower needs to be 1000x more popular.

I grew up in a small rural town where high school talent shows rivaled athletes for garnering popularity among the students. When I first saw/heard knower on youtube my first reaction was...omg this is like the best talent show ever.
One of the violinists in this video is a friend of mine. I have sent her the link and asked her to forward it to Louis and Genevieve, so they should see it. I met them both in London a few years ago (through my friend) and they are fantastic people. Great track and great reaction!

Knower really re-ignited my passion for making music. I can't imagine them not being cool. Especially with me tearing up almost every time I listen to Quality Over Opinion by Louis. I'm going to support what they do on Bandcamp any time I can! Hey Geebz. Cheers.

Saw Genevieve at the Baked Potato last week in LA. She was super nice!
The absolute joy Sam Wilkes shows when playing bass on, like, every video I've seen with him in it, never gets old. That man could be standing there playing one single note through the song and he'd still look like he's having the time of his life.

Take a look at Louis' song "My Buick" because that's exactly what he does in that hahaha.
Louis, the drummer, got nominated for an alternative jazz Grammy this year for his last solo album. He didn’t win but just getting the nom was pretty cool. I want this album to get nominated this year. The every track on this thing is amazing.

the album was released in 2023 and unfortunately didn't make the cut, unlike Louis' solo album (also, how much time does this fucking guy have in day?)

It was a very strongly fielded category, and I was super excited for him to get the nomination. Meshell Ndegeocello took the Grammy in that category. That's nothing to be discouraged over and I hope he knows that. At the rate he is going, he will get his someday!

Couldn't agree more! On an album of absolute bangers - this is my favourite. Knower never miss.😊❤❤
My favorite thing about Knower is that you can never get bored with a song.
Geebz, did you know that Clown Core play a few short clips of people reacting to their music videos in the middle of their live shows and there's a little clip of you in there? I saw them in Berlin and it ruled.

Watching Geebz review Knower is one of the most joyful things on the internet
Louis Cole & Genevieve, Jacob Mann & Sam Wilkes, Domi & JD Beck The next generation of amazing talent
I wouldn't know these guys if it wasn't for your first reaction. It's one of my most cherished discoveries of the last decade. And this track is fire. Thank you, man! Awwright!
Your face when the strings hit, hahahaha! We love Knower.
The entire album is insanely good. The majority of all the parts for each song were recorded live and you are watching it happen. Dubbed or added parts are generally acknowledge by text (you'll see 'OVERDUB' text, for example) or, as in the case of this video with the string section, you see for a moment a PIP view of the string section playing the "second" part. This occurs at 2:53 of your video. This gutsy, old-school, earthy approach pumps up my admiration for Louis and his cohorts to levels beyond comprehension or explanation. It's just crazy. Immeasurable amounts of talent, and in so many fields. DIY 4 EVR!
When the strings hit ... OMG. Listen to the tension they build in.the second half of the piano solo. I bet Louis wrote every note of that. The man is a fuckin genius.
Oh shit! I don't know why I listen to stuff like this, because it makes me want to quit playing any instrument, yet it inspires me at the same time!
Sam Wilkes is a beast on bass guitar. He plays a lot with Scary Pockets (they're on KZread too).
I never would’ve been exposed to this, thank you Geebz 🙏 Already bought tickets to their show, same day I heard this. This is nuts
KNOWER just started popping up in my feed in the last week. I can't believe I haven't heard of them, they're INSANE!

Your reaction to this song is a dream come true for me - it’s my favorite song of 2023 and I just knew that you would love it! Perfect reaction!
Uh...what the...? How? I loved it, just mind blowing, it gets better and better as it goes along! Is it even replicable?
I discovered this band just a few days ago with this track. I don't know why I never heard of them before, but I can't stop listening to them since, what a treat!

@@ontoverse I do! That's like a whole new musical world opened ^^ Thanks!
I just went down the list of musicians in the strings and brass and googled every one. For a handful you need to add their instrument as a search term to get past some other famous person who shares their name, but it was well worth it. There are a lot of active musicians there with their own things going on.

When I first heard that song, I loved it but I wasn't expecting this outro. It's so short but man this took me to a whole different level. Absolutely fantastic.
I feel like the overarching story of the entire Knower fanbase is basically the continual process of music nerds showing it to other music nerds and being like, “You feel it too, right?!?”
I love ClownCore and Knower so much, everyone around me think I'm a stoner. My GF says to stop to share this on FB, thinks I look stupid and unfatherly to share this. Man ppl don't know shit about music. These guys make me believe in music again, so inspired by them.
I just discovered this song a few days ago and I was blown away by it. I’m a musician and I have been for about 28 years and this day I have not heard anything like that. At first, I didn’t know what I thought about the song so I had to listen to it a couple of more times before I can draw any sort of conclusion but this one is weird but cool at the same time.
57 y.o. ex funk drummer here and 4:03 was my reaction also🤣 Every section is just great, chorus is true beauty but that outro is heaven. Song is on a loop in my head for 2 weeks now. True excellence 💥
Watching you hear Knower and Louis Cole for the first time is SO satisfying because we have similar physical responses. I’m very often making the biggest reaction to music and I feel very seen here 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I'm buzzing that you've done this song.What beautiful music,pure class❤
I think my head just exploded. This was absolutely amazing!
I can't say enough about Knower. Been following their work for many years now & I have never been dissapointed.
So much beauty in their music. Beauty on beauty. 🌟
I like to imagine that the guy who was talking smack in the chat got blown away as the song progressed 😂
This was one of those songs where when I heard it in a tiktok clip, I had to stop everything and hunt for it. Absolutely addicting.
SO SPLENDID
this was by far my favorite new song last year. Listened to it on repeat on end. At home, underway, during workouts or for sleep, didn't matter.
I was just imagining you reacting to them the other day, what a nice surprise
Watching you enjoy it at a level I probably can't made me enjoy it even more then I already did watching it.
Such a sick, sick band. Never heard anything like them ever.
This band is absolutely unreal. Every member is so incredibly talented!
3:39 i did the same laugh the first time i heard the end of rai’s line
Strings are just the most beautiful thing.
These guys will be the ones to compose the official soundtrack to the end of our world.
The whole album is fantastic
This feels like some sort of musical perfection
People who haven't _really_ listened to Knower previously: **OMGHOTSAUCE** Everyone else: Just Genevieve and Louis things.
As a keyboard player I've been listening to the music for more the 30 years. I know thing or two about jazz, funk, soul and classical music. There a lot of legendary musicians, whoes styles and technique are amazing. And we all understand how much time and effort you have to invest in order to become someone. But this guy and his piano solo started at 3:15 left me speechles. This is out of this world. Bravo!!!
"That line was so long, it belongs at Disneyland"
"that drummer is absolute magic." mmmhmmmm
I've only recently discovered KNOWER, bought the Forever album, and I'm absolutely over the moon about the entire thing... It's mind-blowing. I'm almost 60, and been a musician since I was 4. And I can't get my head around their approach to songwriting - the combination of catchiness and sheer complexity is staggering & hooks you instantly! 🙏🙏 KNOWER FOREVER 🤘

Discovered Louis and Genevieve a few months ago. I am 68, guitarist since I was 10. I drove from Ohio to Chicago to see them play May 1. Mostly youngsters there but I was sitting next to another 68 year old (bassist), and for the half hour before the show all we could do was to gush and try to outdo each other with our love and amazement and Louis and crew. It was truly pathetic and wonderful. These guys make us old musicians believe there's hope for music. And knowing there are so many others (Puppy, DOMi, Loops, etc.) helps slow down the feeling that the world is crumbling. Thank you, Louis, Genevieve, Same, and your network of geniuses.
Love watching this reaction almost as much as I love this song. Louis Cole should score the next Yorgos Lanthimos movie.
been lurking a lot of your twitch streams. one of my favorite places to lurk, i am learning composition. music theory too. I learned all my software and Kontakt and all that stuff already over the last 2 years. but i really need to be around more ppl like your community. it's great just even lurking and listening to you talk and reading some of the comments in chat about the music. Really enjoy Knower a lot too, been studying jazz chord progressions a lot lately.
Hey man, I haven't seen one of your videos in a bit, but I absolutely love your channel. Keep hanging on. What you give to the world is incredibly valuable. Thanks so much! Aloha!
I'm back after a month and I have listened to this whole album "Knower Forever" and F!!!!! It's is amazing! So glad you reacted to this so I had a chance to hear this as I am now a huge fan.
Knower is the best new music I've heard in a *long* while. The kids have got this...
outside of the box is good. I like it. I dare someone to label it
This was incredible!! I need to hear more of their music 🖤
Most exciting and important people in music right now
Love this song. Since the video was released I’ve been thinking about you checking it out. Glad to see it!
Thanks for sharing this! Amazing stuff.
Poor Geebz nearly had his tootin' cap blown off!
Man, it warmed my heart seeing your reaction to that first shot of the orchestra :) So great!
Meshuggah in a dreamy pop key
It's worth mentioning, and quite fucking insane, that Rai Thistlethwayte's piano solo is entirely ONE-HANDED
Petition for you to listen to the entire album
That solo is just too good
Thank you Geebz
This was my first video of Knower's. Fell in love instantly
I saw another vid of them where they had a choir in the driveway in front of the garage : ) The who property was taken over by music! Found it... "Real Nice Moment"
TTNG is crazy good and underrated
KNOWER is amazing. I recommend the track "Do Hot Girls Like Chords"
LESS TALK MORE ROCK will always be in my brain since the Guiter Hero days 🥲
Hey Geebz, didn't notice you were back. ;) good to have you again
Phenomenal project this lot have going! Ridiculous talent. Great reaction! If I were Bill Hick's ashtray, this music leaves me full of juicy spliff dimps 🔥
This was great. I really enjoyed the song and the reaction.
crazy for sure! love it!
Key of Geebz gives the music a very worthy feedback and speaks the wisest words I've heard in times. I felt it all 💯🦴🙏🏼✌🏼
God tier indeed. Love it so much
I'm always smiling when I listen to Knower, they're really something special.
Imagine listening to this on.a acid trip on repeat tillnthe trip stopped... After about an hour id rip my ears off.
Finally KNOWER!
Yes! Definitely got Frou Frou vibes from this. The phase locking is ridiculously great too!
Amazing song. Love it!!
It's so weird, I was watching Doctor Who for the first time whilst listening to this album to death so now every time I hear these songs I just get profound nostalgia for Doctor Who
Every time i listen to knower, i just feel like theyre yelling WERE BETTER AT THIS THAN YOU! To me lol
Rippin! Reminds me of Discipline era King Crimson. I used to get to play with a bass player that this guy reminds me of. He loved playing really percussive stuff like this and working in jacked up jazz times/modes.
You might be the only guy who made a react to a video by these guys who gets them and really appreciates their level of musicianship.
Unbelievably wonderful masterpiece🎉🎶🖖
anything Lous Cole related is mind blowing and in a heck of another level.
i had basically same reaction when i first saw this, straight pure master musicianship and emotion
They always blow me away, just sick
Rai burning up that piano 🎹 🔥
Could you comment Artadi's songs for her two-person band "Expensive Magnets" ? Very personal sound. Pretty much please !!
Knower is hugging its clown core and just doesn't give a funk... 👍
They are very, very, talented musicians... And it shows!
