I grew up in Chicago, and my father would go out about once an hour during a snowstorm to shovel even if the snow was still coming down. His rationale was that it's better to shovel an inch or two of snow 4 or 5 times than have to shovel 8 or 10 inches of snow once. Of course, as soon as I became old enough, that was how he had me shovel the snow. 😂
