Dear women of the world you what someone should do? Turn all that snow into water and ship it to countries like yeman and the Sahara desert. After cleaning it up. I mean we have a dought but the is solution. Some one make a business on this.
Now I know where all the European snow has gone

Lived there during the 1960's .. the snow was even with the roof more than once .. opened the door and built a snow cave.. then tunnel up .. snow went to the bathtub .. Dad still had to go to work... mom always said if it was her choice we would have never left

This is not unusual here in the U.S. in upstate NY in the Tug Hill Plateau as well, where snow at this scale falls almost every winter. Lake effect snow coming off the entire length of Lake Ontario coupled with the higher elevation of that region enable these extremely high amounts to fall there. This footage reminds me of that.
My mom would hate this
I live in Newfoundland, and this was one of the most intense storms in history. Not because of the amount of snow so much, but more-so because of the winds, they reached 160 Km/h. That created heavy packed snow towering over 20 feet high in a lot of areas. **EDIT** A man did die from this storm, he went out in the storm to walk to a friends house and lost his direction. He text his friend saying he was lost and his phone was about to die. A RCMP search team responded, but had to call off the search due to the intense storm and dangers associated. The RCMP and S&R resumed searching ASAP for several days but did not find him and scaled back the search, volunteers continued searching and after more than a week lost, Josh Wall was found deceased. I don't know the exact cause of death, one can presume he froze to death. R.I.P. Josh Wall. Sadly, two elderly people also died, relating to overexertion from shovelling snow. The snow removal has been difficult with nowhere to put it. But we did have the Army reservists to help out. We Thank them!

Wow!!! That is incredible. Question: How do you get rid of the snow from around your home and car? Enough so you can use your car and walk in your front door? I don't live in a snow area and genuinely curious.
@RobertsAdra

In this case ...the army was called in to dig them out. But usually it's the town that sends in the plows right after the storm and snow gets first cleared from the streets and then removed from other places.
