    I love how both Lucas and Robin came through with the clutch on this episode. Robin figured out that music was the tether needed to get back to reality and Lucas for knowing Max's favorite song. Because had he not known, she would've died right there. Not to mention his letting Max know that he and everyone was there for Max played a huge part in her realizing that she wasn't as alone in her pain and grief as she thought she was. They're my MVP's of this episode

  • @Chantara27

    @Chantara27

    Жыл бұрын

    @@habebaaglan2606 I never said that Steve didn't deserve praise. Lucas and Dustin were just trying to be respectful of Max by giving her some privacy. But true had Steve not checked in on her she would've suffered the same fate as Chrissy and Fred. But with that being said my comment was about Lucas because out of everyone there he's the one person that knows Max the most. Had he not been there to know what her favorite song was she would've died.

    Just another huge shout-out to the music in this show. Every season it's been great, but this season it really takes it to another level. Those last few notes, after Max says she's still here, so beautiful. There's some awesome music coming up. Which unfortunately you'll have to deal with in editing, but it'll be worth it when you're watching.

    I have been WAITING for ya'll to get here. Literally since you started ST. There is just that culmination at the end of the entire build-up of both this season and the series. It keeps getting better but this episode is like explaining "depression" and survivor's guilt relating to PTSD. I can't imagine how much her life upended after Billy died. Her step-dad left, mom had to get not 1 but 2 jobs (in a town that had just had a huge tragedy from the Mall fire so all of those businesses failed). She went from a middle-class neighborhood to a trailor park. Her mom starts drinking pretty heavily. So yeah, all there is...is the things she could not tell Billy's dad about Billy. How he rose above and beyond an alien life inside him to stop it. Billy was an awful human being but he could have had the potential to be a better man and that was taken away. It's my real sadness about Billy and other people like him. They can't learn if they're dead. But that gun fight felt 110% more realistic then any of the old gun fights from the older movies. But THIS episode is why Steve is the best older brother. He checks on the younger siblings, notices Max's trauma outside her trailor, and is at least there to keep an eye on their shenanigans (like Nancy used to do & he would grumble about once upon a time). And this episode practically demands a rewatch. Sadie Sink deserved much more recognition for this episodes acting. The writers definitely deserved an emmy...but I don't know if they got one. This effects everyone who has felt deep sadness and wanted oblivion. I don't know how many times in my life, music just sang the words my soul felt it was screaming at everyone around me while they were completely clueless. Now it's not their fault that I hide when I'm struggling, that's just my flavor of childhood trauma training (we keep our private matters to family, rather then calling the police).

As a horror fan, the love letter all season to 80s horror, especially Elm Street, makes me melt with joy ❤ Edit: Also, Robin (Maya Hawke) was definitely channeling her real life momma, Uma Thurman, in that professors office scene. Could have been straight out of Pulp Fiction.

That was just the tip of the iceberg. Season 4 is pure chaos & season 5 is going to be an epic conclusion! FYI - did you catch the little bit of shade Eleven threw at Mike in her note? She signed it From: El instead of Love, El (like how he signed his letters to her). Side note - It was Sadie Sink's 21st birthday this past Sunday (April 16th). Oh, and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) just got engaged to Jake Bongiovi (Jon Bon Jovi's son).

The way Vecna comes into subconscious for the kill like Freddy did with dreams 4. Nancy is the main character fighting Freddy in Elm Street 5. in ST, Nancy's co-worker is named Fred 6. Remember working a half day and coming home to a empty house reading online about how some random song from the 80's was blowing up everywhere because of stranger things. Started watching the show, was going to stop at episode 3, but the ending had me so worried about Max I went on to episode 4. I didn't even realize I was doing at the time, but during the Max escape scene I physically got off the couch and went directly up in front of the tv. I misread all the reminders of the friends she still has in life as her final flashbacks of life and thought she was a goner. Such a beautiful scene and my favorite sequence of the entire series IMO. They spent weeks shooting that one scene and it was all worth it. Not to mention Kate Bush made serious bank too from this episode.

    What was incredible about this episode is that you are given every reason to believe Max would unalive. Even from the previews, because one of them showed Max floating in the air in that episode. As the viewer you don't know exactly what's going on at that point in the preview. Then, very first episode, Chrissy unalives, and you see her floating just as you presumably would have seen if you watched the preview. And then the build up, with her giving everyone letters, and even when they figured out how to break the curse, it happens at such a crucial moment, that you think to yourself it may be too late. It was such brilliant marketing and build-up.

    I think I subscribed at 30k subscribers? I'm happy you're about to be at 60k. Honestly; you're going to be a dominant reaction channel on KZread in no time. You both seem so genuine. I'd say people on KZread could decipher the reactors who are actually genuine reactors.. but it's not true. Maybe real people are the people who choose to follow you guy's. That's all that matters

    This was so intense. Max is by far one of my favourite characters from the whole series, I love her attitude. I'm so glad that she made it through this ordeal. To have ol' Pizza Face Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) as Victor Kreel was genius, considering how close Vecna is to the famous dream demon that he was in the movies. And, that Kate Bush song, even though I lived through that era, I had never heard that song before, or if I did, I paid no attention to it, because that Withering Heights song from Kate Bush put me off of her, but now it is one of my favourites. When they did the fake out ending before the final scene, my heart sank, when I first saw this too. Like I said before, I'm so glad that she made through. This is my favourite episode of the season, and there are two others coming up that are a close 2nd later on in the season. This whole season is by far the most intense so far.

    As a 25 year old man I cried when he was about to kill Max and all the flashbacks started happening, I still remember that 2am night in 2016 watching the premiere of this show, all those flashbacks hit me hard.

    Ham and pineapple aka the hawaiian in the UK is a very popular type of pizza. It always gets me that alot of people are not accustomed to having pineapple but trust me pineapple with bacon chicken etc is just juicy and really tasty extra ham extra pineapple. Also the nightmare on elm street vibe you guys been feeling from the start was a good guess. Robert England is such an amazing creepy actor

    I think the reason the warden still let Nancy and Robbin speak to Creel even though he was suspicious after Robbin got the professors name incorrect was because Robbins sexism speech was so convincing that he didn't want to look like a dick if he was wrong.

    Ding, ding, ding! You’re only the second to realize who Victor Krill was. Others have even said it had the Nightmare on Elm Street vibe, but no one but one other connected Victor Krill to Robert Englund. You get a brownie point.
