I love that you mentioned at the beginning how you weren’t initially over the moon and you had to settle into the pregnancy over a bit of time. People don’t admit that enough and it’s far more common than we would think. So thank you for that ❤️

I tried for over a year to get pregnant. I was happy when it happened and all, then utterly miserable for the first trimester, but I didn't feel emotionally "attached" to my baby until it was almost over. Totally normal not to be stoked about pregnancy, it's fucking rough

My mum had been told that she wouldn't be able to get pregnant without medical intervention... while my parents where in university, mum found out she was pregnant. She was pissed and told dad it was all his fault. My dad, shining like the sun, happily agreed.

It feels really good to hear that I wasn't alone in being totally shaken finding out I was pregnant. I had intentionally gotten pregnant, but the days following I was absolutely riddled with anxiety and felt really guilty about it

Sarah, dude, look at you! I’m so happy for you! I started watching your vids when I was 18 and I’m coming up on 30 now. I feel like I grew up along with you, and your content changed/matured as time went on but it always felt so consistent with myself maturing and changing as well. You’re one of the only people on KZread that I’ve never stopped watching. It’s really awesome to have watched you grow and gone through the journeys you’ve had… and now this new journey :)

No one talks about the negative feelings one can feel when they see the positive pregnancy test. I wasn't excited. I was feeling the opposite. I never wanted kids. I said that for YEARS. However, my daughter is 13 months and I couldn't be happier with how my life is. I can't imagine life without her. She is my whole universe. I know that feeling of anxiety and overall sadness when seeing the pink line. You're not alone.

Well if this didn’t just fuel my baby fever 😅 congrats Sarah, you are going to be an amazing mother and I couldn’t be happier for you!

I’m watching this at 40 weeks pregnant just waiting for my baby to arrive! I had a really rough first half of pregnancy both mentally and physically. I wasn’t happy to be pregnant and then I was very sick on top of it, basically bed ridden with hyperemesis. I must say the second half of pregnancy has been so much better and now I’m actually excited to meet my baby.

When I saw the title of this video I literally said Oh MY GOSH! Such a surprise. Then my first questions were "Are you happy about it? Was this planned?" So much curiousity. Congratulations! ❤ I have two kids and (as a very emotional person) I was expecting to be all teared up in the scans. But I was more gobsmacked and had hard time understanding there was a real human inside me (even with the 2nd one). I thought that when I'm given the baby after labor I crash in tears, but no - I just said "Hey dude" and was overwhelmed thinking I had to take this human home while the midwives seemed more excited than me. It took me few weeks after labor to get to know my kids and fall in love with them on my own rhythm (and I love them madly now). I think we are given a lot if preasure to have extremely intensive feelings of love that overtakes everything else about our baby starting the second the pregnancy test shows positive. If you don't the society seems to think you failed as a mom before it even really even started. I'm happy you can also talk about the uncertaintity and fear as pregnancy (and parenthood) is so many more feelings than just #blessed. I wish all the best to you and your growing family. You got this.

Girl. When I found out I was pregnant the 2nd time (I had been pregnant once before and didn't know until I miscarried) I was devastated! At least when I miscarried before I didn't know I was pregnant, so there was no time to really mourn a loss. But the 2nd time, I knew, and I was so scared that since I'm aware now, it's going to hurt if I lost him this time. I almost didn't want to keep him because I didn't want to get attached. Well, that was 6 years ago and I'm such a happy mother of a beautiful boy! I fucking love being a mother.

I'm due Nov 19! I always love your Halloween decorate with me videos and I love that I get to go through this new season of life "alongside" you! I was nauseated from 6 to 16 weeks with extreme smell aversion to everything including my house and my husband. I got sick mid may and the coughing fits would trigger my gag reflex and cause me to vomit. Thats literally the only times I threw up so im still salty about that. Oh, and we are also having a girl!
